“Burrow is smart. He isn’t a difference maker by any stretch”

“I’m cool with 9-3. But with the total at 9, under is the play. Bama is a sure loss. Texas, Texas A&M, Florida Auburn are all toss-ups and LSU is far more likely to lose three of those than one”

LOL

This idiot had A&M ahead of us in the West last year. He was off by 43 points.

Sallee is an Auburn homer who seems to be wrong more than he is right.

Good, maybe his prediction will lead us to winning it all again

That's just sad and shows no depth of analysis. Looking at the experience metric we went from one of the least experienced teams in 2018 to one of the most in 2019. Burrow's progression over the latter part of 2018 was an indication he was ready to make the next step. Our schedule actually set up very nicely with most of our tough games at home.

Lastly there was the infusion of a new offensive philosophy. Despite Brady's limited resume' it was pretty clear in the spring we were rolling out a new offense.

That's just lazy analysis on Sallee's part.

Agreed but this is a 180. He had us at 6-6 for 2018

He also picked Clemson over LSU because “defense wins championships”

That idiot is an Auburn homer and he is always down on LSU. His opinion has about as much credibility with me as ESPN's ridiculous FPI has.

Not even the most optimistic LSU homer expected them to have the season they did last year. So no shame in missing THAT prediction.

However, 9 being the o/u was silly. Even BEFORE the season 10-2 looked like the floor. LSU wasn't losing to Florida, Auburn and/or A&M at home. The fulcrum game was Texas. If they won that one, 11-1 seemed like the worst case scenario.

Sallee slept on LSU all the way through the end while pretty much everyone else realized this team was championship caliber, at least, after the Alabama game.

He's a sports writer that has taken more real estate in the heads of some posters on this board than Remax

Heck we had LSU fans predicting the same. Some are still wailing about next season.

BS has always had an anti-LSU bias. That he is so often wildly wrong on LSU is bad enough.

But, that he draws a nice paycheck to cover this stuff fulltime for a living, while being so wrong, that is what's so comical..and sad.

His buddy Jacob Hester tried to wake him on his show..but the bias was too strong.

I don’t mind him during his radio show. He’s shown LSU plenty of love

Saying Burrow wasn’t a difference maker in June wasn’t that outlandish

Vegas had LSU as 8.5 over under last year so it’s not just him that tempered expectations

But, he has historically been with an anti-LSU, pro Bama and Aub bias, even in years where LSU was loaded, and had 10 win preseason totals that they reached.

I do agree, his LSU takes began turning more positive in recent years.

Nothing personal, he seems a good dude.
