There were never going to be big reveals in this format. If that was your expectation then they were unrealistic. Netflix isn't a company who makes its money on breaking news. They're a strictly entertainment platform. There are some pretty big liability issues for a platform like them throwing around the accusations that some of you assholes apparently wanted.

I definitely agree with the OP after watching but it was still a pretty good watch

Really wish they would have spent more time on his background

I dunno, I'd agree with that if this was a tight one-hour doc or something... but with a 4+ hour running time, I don't think expecting a few new wrinkles was too unrealistic...

It was a Jeffery Epstein documentary that told the viewer nothing about Jeffery Epstein other than he had money and lived in Florida. It was basically an hour of underage masseuse recollections

Pretty generic stuff. They knew it would get views though, so no need to do any heavy lifting

I was disappointed, left watching not knowing really who Epstein is... should have gone deep into his background, find out why he did those things, how he made all that money, business relationships. Instead it was just a #metoo doc

Yep it's the entertainment industry. Throw the media in there as well.

For some reason those industries attract these degenerates.

Really sad since it can be a cool business.

Maybe I missed some parts but did they not go into the Clinton connection at all?

The truth is that Epstein was a Mossad agent who used blackmail against politicians and celebrities to leverage political power for Israel. I don’t trust Netflix to tell the truth that Epstein worked for Israel and that the entertainment Industry and politicians have a pedophilic culture. Too many conflicts of interest.

ETA: EpSTEIN WeinSTEIN. They protect their own, and Netflix isn’t about to bite the hand that feeds them.

I knew most of the story but thought the documentary was worth watching and enjoyed it. The couple of mentions about how skilled he was at blackmail - cameras set up everywhere and friends with so many powerful people.

It convinced me that he must have more dirt on more influential people than has ever been compiled. Also he knew how to use it when necessary. Very evil guy obviously.

Also now at least think it’s plausible that he planned his suicide with help from others.

It was mainly the story of the girls from their view. I wanted to get down to the eyes wide shut shite that was going down

While he had no right to do any of that shite, the art student in the first episode should've known better. She used her pubescent siblings as art subjects which was probably not a good idea and certainly inappropriate.

I agree w/ most people’s opinions on here that the Netflix doc focused too much on the victims stories but I guess that was intentional to give them the platform to tell their story. It left a lot to be desired on answering the questions surrounding the mysterious Epstein himself. They have another Doc on the ID channel that was much better done and delves more into Epstein’s background.

I thought it was pretty good and scary how easy it was for him and how many people helped him.

The dumb part was the slant to put Trump close to him and almost take Clinton away. Clinton had a frequent flier status on his plane and Trump never was on it. All the pictures of him and a trump were from the 80s.

From reading between the lines a little, it sounds as though Epstein secretly and skillfully blackmailed many powerful people from the mid '90s through 2007. By 2007, I'm guessing everyone knew he was scummy but 'allowed' him to keep victimizing young girls.

That one guy said he worked on his audio/visual setup on the private island for almost a decade. He had just about every inch of that island on video at all times.

I read another article of him boasting about being close friends with the Crown Prince of Saudi. I would assume that our government has the full list of names (from the NYC raid) but then it becomes a potential 'World War 3' situation if there are many powerful international 'friends/foes' publicly outed.

Also consider that many powerful people probably hooked up with young girls at his parties (i.e. nothing illegal, just slightly immoral) and then realized later the girl was underage and becomes a potential lifetime jail sentence.
