There are never any words, but prayers for ALL 3 of you. Your wife, yourself, and your unborn child.

Praying that you and your wife will end up having 3 or 4 healthy, happy children (or however many you want).

I don't have words for this. May God bless, and be with you and your family through this tragedy. Heartbreaking. Prayers up from Arkansas.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll be praying that the Lord gives you and your wife peace and strength to endure during this time.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

As a refuge from an Auburn board, my standard response to any prayer request is to say “War Eagle!” That is my short-hand for “I hear you and I stand with you!”

I don’t want you to think I am being irreverent but with that in mind, I hope it is appropriate to offer the Gamecock cheer of “Go! Fight! Win! Kick ***!” In all sincerity, may Providence offer you comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Never been one to air my laundry, but I've been a part of this board now for 7 years. My wife and I lost our unborn child sometime yesterday.

Many on this board know I lost a baby girl shortly after birth 14 years ago.

It's absolutely mind numbing. I'm very sorry for your loss. And make no mistake for those who might think "it's just 12 weeks". It's an ENORMOUS emotional blow.

I will tell you that I know two women other than my wife who have had similar experiences and, two things have proven to be true.

1. They never actually recover from it.

2. Their next pregnancy is utterly terrifying to them until the baby is out and healthy. If you choose to do this again, it will be impossible to enjoy the pregnancy in the way you might do otherwise.

I tell you this because as men, it's just not something I think we can fully comprehend. But, we have to carry them thru it. The coming months and then the next pregnancy are going to be a massive test for you emotionally as you try to prop up your wife even as you don't fully comprehend what she feels.

SCL,

I’ve never been in your position so I won’t pretend to know the anguish.

I hope you and your wife find comfort together in this great time of loss and come out on the other end stronger as a couple. I do know that this can strain relationships.

I’ll say a prayer for your family for sure.

So sorry for your loss.
