I thought the larger alligator snappers were out of range for arky which means that's a world record regular snapper or alligator snappers live hundreds of miles outside their official range.

I stepped on one once when I was wading, I thought it was a big rock until it started moving. I'm sure it wasn't as big as that one was, but it was pretty big. I felt lucky it didn't decide to bite my foot off.

OMG. That's huge. World record huge. I saw one years ago in the Homosassa River in FL. Was thrashing around on the top of the water. Scariest thing in fresh water in my book.
