Michael Bennett coming out claiming he was racially profiled and verbally attacking police officers hours before a video came out showing he was lying his arse off.

When Victor Oladipo said that he had been playing team sports all his life and SWORE that he had never heard any of the guys say something like “grab her by the p*ssy”

Just a complete boldfaced lie

John Rocker - "The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?"

Mike Tyson, after losing to Evander Holyfield answering the question posed to him by the announcer as to what's next in store for you Mike?

"I guess it's time I fade off to Bolivian."

I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that one.

On why athletes need to be paid more:

“People complain that pro athletes make a lot of money; but what they don’t understand is that we need a lot of money because we spend a lot of money” — Patrick Ewing

Nowhere near the "dumbest" (or professional athlete at the time) but still funny:

The irony is that ppl were offended by this in 2003 to the point of media outrage. “Offensive to the troops“ if you can believe it.

Today's media would probably be applauding him for his courage to play amateur sports "for free" while evil coaches are making all the money.

It might be on Inside the NBA when Shaq thought the moon was closer to Atlanta than Atlanta is to California because when he goes outside in Atlanta he can see the moon but he can’t see California.

He thinks it’s about a “10 or 11 hour flight to the moon”.
