Tomato Tip I Recently Picked Up

I was watching some videos and one came up on how to make Asian Eggs and Tomatoes. The guy wanted to cut the tomatoes in wedges, but he didn't want the juice to leak out of the wedges right away.
He said to cut the tomato right in the grooves on the top, seen here.
If you do, you'll cut right through the inner walls seen here:
I didn't cut this nice Creole that way because it was going on a BLT. But I could tell the grooves were where the walls were located.
Just a dumb tip you might be able to use sometime.

I prefer to use a serrated knife for tomatoes

Nah, it gets the strings all sticky.
Get a mandoline instead.

The best tomatoes I've ever had are Oregon Stars. Don't matter much how you slice 'em. They are all meat.
Now that I don't live in Oregon, I bought seeds.
