I'm pretty speechless over the entire Shining Knight thing. Sir Justin. I mean, frick. They brought in Sir Justin.
If the Greg Saunders Vigilante shows up on that Indian motorcycle, I'll have to be sedated.
Sir Justin in his Frank Frazetta greatness:

That would be fantastic. I'm loving the deep cuts on this show.

Another great episode. The car wreck was a nice touch and seeing Hourman reigning it in was good (although I think better counters to his arguments could have been made).
The fight scenes were pretty darned good, I especially liked the very little fore-warning before Courtney smashed through the window, all you saw was a quick glimpse then all hell broke loose) and I love how they are bringing Brainwave Jr. into all of this.

Renewed for a second season. Will be on CW and CW Digital only.

I wish they'd keep it originating on DC Universe. Hopefully the same production team and show runners will stay with the show. Once it goes fully to the CW, hopefully they don't run it into the ground story wise like they have with their other DC shows. I would also wish that they'd keep the SJW crap to a minimum this they have this season, but that's probably too much to ask considering it's the CW.

Extremely bad sign for the future of this show.

More like bad news for DC Universe. First it loses Doom Patrol exclusively and now it loses Star Girl outright. I doubt it lasts into 2021.

I enjoyed the episode, but IMO it was the worst of the season so far. Trying to figure out why they even bothered casting Barbara(Amy Smart), character has been 100% useless to this point. Whatever they have planned with the relationship between her and Jordan they need to get to it, because its not working and has no point as of now.

Decent episode this week. I’m continuously amazed at how honestly corny this show is when discussing the Golden Age DC heroes. No need to make them cool for today’s audience. Just, “Here they are.”

No kidding. I don't see how anyone could've taken the Seven Soldiers of Victory seriously with those outfits. Since I'm assuming that Stargirl is taking place around 2020, although they are seemingly being kind of vague on what the current timeline is (even the Brainwave flash back said decades ago), those guys were taking down bad guys dressed liked that in maybe the 90s at the latest?
I mean, even if they use the Nebula Man storyline to say that Pat and Sylvester were thrown forward in time, those costumes would still be goofy even if the Seven Soldiers of Victory were active in the 40s and/or 50s

Wow, that was a crazy ending to the latest episode.

I was expecting him to have a more lengthy storyline on this show. I was expecting the showrunners to use him as a character that would flip flop back and forth at being good and evil as the seasons progressed like he did in the comics. But I guess I was wrong, unless he somehow survives being crushed.

Another deep cut with the mention of Brainwave's wife.

Do you think he really died in that cave in, or will they bring him back at some point because of the old adage that if you don't see the dead body they probably aren't dead?

You're talking about someone who can create a force field being killed by a cave-in. Comic Books 101 has that as a 90% survival rate.

Yeah, after I first watched it I thought they actually killed him off. But know that I have had time to think about it, you're probably right. I mean he still has a bunch of potential story left to be told for the showrunners not to use it. Plus, like you said, that is comics 101.
But I thought it was a great episode, and has been a good season so far. I'm still wondering how the new JSA stands a snowball's chance at fighting the ISA when Brainwave's and Icicle's powers alone far surpasses anything the new JSA has (and the new Dr. Midnite girl doesn't seem to any offensive powers). I mean Brainwave held off the entire JSA by himself while beating his son's arse. They're going to have to have some creative writing to convince me that the JSA can defeat the ISA.

I think it'll come down to the Brainwaves cancelling each other out, and someone coming up with a way to combat Icicle's powers (which seem way too powerful).
Could also have Soloman Grundy turn against the ISA, or some new JSA Jr. member could show up. That green lantern is still sitting around. If Jade and Obsidian show up with their powers, it could tip the scales. And that pink ink pen is still giggling in Courtney's room. If that T-Bolt shows up, the power shifts to the Junior JSA.
