That team only managed to outscore opponents at a rate of over 40-1.

Man we beat the frick out of Baylor that year. 89-0
Also helps that Harvard and Penn that year each had a tie and we did not.

I grew up in Tiger Stadium and the flag for 1908 flew with the 1958 flag in the NE forever. I guess Saban took it down. I do not know. But it was there from the 70's through the 90's then everyone started saying we should claim 1908

I will believe it when I see it, having e-mailed Scott many times.
My grandfather Ryan played on that team with the great Doc Fenton. He ran for a 75 yard Touchdown (5 points) against a Baylor team that was annihilated 89-0. 1908 team was perfect 10-0. An annihilated Baylor team recovered to beat Tulane and the humbled Green Wave created terrible rumors of LSU Professionalism that filled the penmanship of one Grantland Rice who held Tulane in high esteem. These rumors were later disproved and NCAA considers LSU the 1908 Champ.

Why not? We have a legitimate claim to it based upon the polls that were recognized at the time.

(hopefully) just in time for Texas's visit...to see 5 Natty statues and flags in the stadium.

So, are all the players gonna get rings after the shutdown?

That grainy footage from the’08 season is fascinating. That offense was ahead of it’s time.
