Does anyone else hate the way leftover chicken tastes?

Fried, grilled, baked....doesn’t matter.
Worth it to grill fresh every night instead of enough to last a few days.

I get you. Chicken dries out quickly. I can’t stand dry chicken.

Cold left over fried chicken right out of the fridge is good stuff. It's up there with pizza and spaghetti in the leftover goodness rankings.

Cold jambalaya is this awesome too

Me. I won't eat it.
I'm one and done on chicken dishes, it's up to the fiance to finish the rest.
The only exception is chicken & sausage gumbo, because it tastes like gumbo, but I avoid the super big pieces and go heavier on the andouille and boiled eggs, with some smaller chicken pieces mixed in.
ETA: I will also eat some chicken salads, but I'm pretty picky about them.

Don't use the microwave to reheat it.

Absolutely

Fried is great out the fridge. Grilled, baked or something is best heated up covered in cheese and made into a sandwich, or made into chicken salad, or put into chicken noodle soup or ramen or an omelet or several other things. I don’t really see a problem with it now that I think about it.

Eggs in your gumbo?

What I like to do is debone leftover fried chicken and then sorta refry it in a cast iron dutchoven with a shite ton of siracha. I've done it with leftovers from several brands, but believe it or not, KFC actually comes out best as a leftover.
TBH, I don't find any meats taste "good" as leftovers.

Cook boneless, skinless thighs and they’re great as leftovers.

Absolutely.
I never had it that way until I started dating my SO. He grew up with it and always made it that way. I love boiled eggs so I was on board to try it.
We always put eggs in it now.

Leftover ham or turkey after Christmas is like a present left in the fridge from the Meat Santa

Ham is probably the most re-heatable, but turkey dries out worse than chicken.

You need some leftover giblet gravy in your life

I'll usually wind up making chicken salad with it and the wife will take it for lunch at work.
I make good fried chicken, but being in the fridge overnight makes the crispy crust change consistency with much less crunch, so off with the skin and pull the meat to dice up and add the stuff for either a mayo based or BBQ sauce based chicken salad.

I have zero issues with reheated chicken.
