Anybody watch the Longmire series on Netflix?

My wife and I are looking for a new series to watch. It's hard to find something we both like. We watched the first episode last night. It was okay IMO; not great but not terrible. Does it get better, or should I look for something else?
TIA
TIA

I liked it
Was it great? No, but it was good.
Give one or two more episodes a try.

Wife and I watched the whole series. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an easy watching show without complexity. First few seasons, the shows are all standalone so it doesn’t matter if you daydream through one - you’re all caught up by the next episode. Longmire reminded me of my late father, so that was kind of a bonus.

I really enjoyed it. One of my favorites.

The first two seasons are amazing, and it kind of goes off the rails a bit as time goes on, but I'd definitely do a rewatch of it.

I liked it a lot
Like a lot of series it gets slow for a season but it ended very well

the scenery and setting are cool as its pretty much a modern western. most of the characters in the show are pretty forgettable though

I remember when it first came out and recognized the lead actor as one of the Agents in The Matrix...

It’s really a throwback show with a legit hero and mostly self-contained episodes. It’s like something from the 80’s. And I loved it. Nice break from series long plot lines and dark gritty anti-heroes.

Enjoyed it. Wife loved it. Got her a Red Pony tshirt.
Me? Honestly the series made me REALLY want to try a Ranier beer he was always drinking. Tried like hell to find one. Would have even had one shipped.
To this day I've failed. Anyone know how to get one? Haven't thought about it in awhile, but would still love to try one.

Damn you for starting this thread! I just started my quest up again for a Ranier beer and see they are actually making it again, but they don't deliver to my area - yet. The quest continues.

I watched it in it's original run pre-Netflix, in the process of finishing the last season. It does get better. It's not bring home any awards but it's an enjoyable watch. I usually put it on when I want to watch something that I don't have to really dive deep into, but don't want to just throw on some Rick and Morty or something like that.

It was too slow for me and unbelievable considering the number of murders in such an unpopulated area. I think you gotta be 60+ to enjoy it.

Season 3 was really good. Every thing else is pretty much just boiler plate pass the time quality
