Unreasonable or arbitrary use of power.

According to the dictionary.

Which is exactly what choosing which "correct" class of person is forced upon by the government on private businesses.

That's a really poor definition.

So an NBA official that calls too many fouls is a tyrant?

A teacher that is an overbearing disciplinarian is a tyrant?

It's nonsense and definitely not one of the definitions used by political scientists.

I definitely have. It's a private busimess. Costco can do what the want, so can I. No issues with Costco doing what they do.

That's the great thing about personal choice and responsibility statists dont understand.

I took your comment to refer to a business banning who they choose without govt force

Costco doesn't get to ban who they choose because of the government

Except now the arbitrarily allowed by government banning of healthy people

Its either private businesses get to choose or they don't

They are simply selecting wrong think to ban

You sure you want to use this as evidence of “it’s been done before, so it’s cool” seeing as there’s a guy wearing a sign about going to jail if you don’t wear one? Is that where you want us heading?

Just pointing out that this isn't just some Constitutional crisis that's suddenly come up in the 21st century. And that the United States didn't collapse because people had to wear masks.

From a marketing standpoint, they are doing the right thing.

From an infection control standpoint, it is a false sense of security.

My issue with Costco is their avocados. I picked up one of their bags of 6 last Friday. While they were the perfect dark shade of a ripe green, these dang things are hard as rocks and were not getting softer by as late as yesterday morning. I took to the internet and was surprised, nay shocked by all the internet info about Costco avocados and how they suck. I even stumbled upon an entire Reddit thread about the subject. Anyhoo, I brown bagged them last night with a couple of bananas and stored them in the walk in pantry. That's right, a walk in pantry. I just checked them and 3 of the avocados are now pretty soft. 3 are still hard.

How did this suddenly make them start to ripen? you may be asking. According to my extensive research, avocados belong to a group of fruits that are climacteric. What do climacteric mean? It means that their ripening is associated with ethylene production. What do ethylene production mean? I'm not really sure, but if you ever get stuck with a batch that just won't seem to ripen you might be able to jump start the process by putting the avocados in a brown paper bag by themselves or together with other climacteric fruits like apples, bananas, and tomatoes.

I was wearing a mask when i shopped there fwiw.

Expecting a homemade cloth mask to stop a virus = expecting chicken wire to stop mosquitoes.

They’re using the same towel of bacteria to wipe every cart. No thanks. I always ask for individual cart wipes, but they don’t have any. Not very sanitary.
