A Confederacy of Dunces is #1 by a wide margin. Catch 22 is #2. For #3? Maybe it was my adolescent sense of humor, but the next ones that come to mind are some of the Dan Jenkins sports books such as Semi Tough and Dead Solid Perfect.

Money by Martin Amis

Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome

Anything in the Jeeves series by PG Wodehouse. Some of those stories are absolutely hysterical.

Confederacy of Dunces and Catch-22 were the first two that came to mind. I would place Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions third.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet.

Had me laughing throughout. Havent read any other Pratchett but others have told me his books are all pretty funny.

I am going to concur with the folks saying A Confederacy of Dunces and Catch-22.
My third place and honorable mention are Forrest Gump way funnier than the movie. He was taken way too seriously on film; M*A*S*H by Richard Hooker. Again, way funnier than the sitcom which got much too serious as the years passed.

I loved Confederacy of Dunces and Catch 22. I would add Candide by Voltaire and Absurdistan by Gary Shteyngar.
