World Premier Trailer

Love the direction they went with this series, revamped gameplay and more into the RPG genre. Stoked about a new one.

I loved Odyssey because of those elements and the time period. But honestly, it was too much. The map was too large and all the ?s were basically 4 different encounters copied and pasted all over the map 1000 times. Hopefully they can streamline this new one.

I agree. I love playing it but it's so dense. Every time I get back on I'll play a few nights and just get overwhelmed at the map and mission log.

Never confirmed, and nothing "official" as of yet, but most feel it's definitely a Nordic style setting.

I like the size of the map, gives it a bigger more epic feel.

But yeah once you level up far enough into your play style, you basically run through everyone like a hot knife through soft butter.

I loved what AC has done with the games. Love the epic feel, the geographic realism, and the amount of actual history/mythology that was incorporated into AC Odyssey.

I also love that it's not so streamlined. Sometimes it's nice to follow the story but sometimes it's nice to pick it up for 20 minutes to go jack up some random Spartans.

Man really don’t like Assassin’s Creed but I’m a sucker for anything Viking related. What’s the release date on this thing?

ETA: Just looked it up, September 20th evidently. Pretty ballsy to release it so close to Cyberpunk.

Viking theme really doesn’t do it for me. But that’s just me.

I'd like to see how they incorporate that in the AC universe. I think viking, I think brute force, not assassin. But hopefully the trailer tomorrow shows us what they are going for.

I feel that something more in line with Origins would be fine. It was plenty big. I still haven’t finished all of Odyssey, and I’ve been an avid AC fan since the original.

Will there be an annoying boy that follows you around that you constantly scold for both good and no good reasons?

What would you recommend? I haven’t played an AC since Black Flag.

I have Odyssey and Origins on my wish list and they’re both for sale under $20 right now

Odyssey ($17)
Origins Deluxe Edition ($15)

All the other threads I’ve read asking this question have been 50/50 on each. Which I wasn’t essential so I could buy both and play both. I’ll probably get both eventually but I don’t wanna buy both and not be able to get around to the other.
