Just curious...with all of the other major refineries in the area cutting production, I haven't heard anything on Marathon cutting production yet.

A lot of them are going virtual now. I'd check that before you cancel.

Oh really.. what other “major refineries in the area” are “cutting production”?

What?? I'm curious if they are going to slow their BPD output like the rest considering they have highest capacity in Louisiana.

Exxon, Shell in Norco, Shell in Convent have all cut production. Are those not major refineries?

Citgo and P66 in lake Charles as well

As someone who has sold both those refineries equipment for 10+ years: frick them both. Citgo in particular is one of the least professional, least cordial places I have ever had the pleasure of leaving.
Sasol is more fun to deal with, and that is saying a lot.
Hopefully they tank enough where a decent company buys the plants and changes the culture.

Got damn son!
I don’t work for any of those three but hope to sell them chemicals. What was your experience?

What are they at right now?

Someone told me a month ago that Marathon was at 20% capacity and running out of room to put their product. Haven’t heard anything since.

Marathon has been running turnarounds for a couple years straight through, or at least that's what it seems like sometimes from the traffic. Lot of pickup truck baws turning off of Airline every day.

Coker upgrades.
Think they brought down a fract today.

Most refineries are at min rate right now. Distillates took a hit yesterday too - more fuel to the fire.

Everybody is cutting back. Some signs of life hopefully with changing state shutdowns but really just holding steady at the bottom would be the first good thing and necessary to start the recovery. I know some places that have cut product (jet cough cough) to nil.

They are still at max rate? That is a bit surprising.

Just about everybody by at least 10%. Pretty sure OPIS reports have made that clear.

They have had two big ones last fall and this past winter/spring.
