Never have been a Jameis fan but have to admit he's got talent. Interesting move. Payton may pull a rabbit out of his hat, or it may just be another wasted experiment. Who knows?

I really hope everyone here does see what's going on here and just being typical TD cynical assholes

Drew Brees is QB GOAT and as long as he's here he's A1 QB

Taysom Hill may be the future at QB... but he's still the "Swiss Army Knife" weapon right now and we're going to keep him in that role

Jameis Winston... much like Teddy 2 Gloves was the last few seasons... is the "insurance policy" in case something goes horribly wrong with Drew so Taysom can still be Taysom... much like we saw with those 5+ games last season

Tommy Stevens will be on the practice squad for at least the next few seasons unless/until he proves he can actually be another Swiss Army Knife and potentially free up Taysom to actually be a QB

Yeah, because small school alums like Terron Armstead, Marques Colston, and Jahri Evans were just TERRIBLE players in the NFL.

Newsflash: sometimes great players don’t come from the SEC

Bruce Arians coached and routinely had success with physycally gifted QBs in Peyton Manning, Big Ben, Andrew Luck, and Carson Palmer.

It says something that not only could Arians not fix Jameis Winston, but that they let him go for free.

This is an awesome move.

Payton will get to see Winston, a 5000 yard passer, up close and personal for a year to see if he’s worth salvaging without giving up anything.

If you find something wrong with this you are stupid.

If Payton likes what he sees from Winston this year, he’ll bring him back. If he doesn’t, we still have Hill

Peyton, Ben, and Palmer all led the league in INTs at one point. Imagine if they were given up on

Peyton, Eli, Brett Favre, and a few other hall of fame qbs have had seasons with 25+ ints.
Bucs were losing a lot, and they were throwing the hell out of the ball. There were a lot of chances to make mistakes.
I’m not really a fan of his, but he’s got the talent. No harm in giving it a shot.

just remember guys...

if all goes according to plan...

Jameis Winston will never see a meaningful snap while in B&G

he'll play mop up duty in a game that's out of hand (wins)... or after we're locked into our playoff slot and sit Drew for the final regular season game

that's it

Most turnover plays in a single season since 2006

Jameis Winston (2019) - 40
Carson Palmer (2013) - 40
Andrew Luck (2012) - 40

All in their first season with Bruce Arians

Well if he is the heir to Brees you all may as well get ready for Aaron Brooks type shite again. Huge mistake.

That is the conclusion I made. I don’t see how you start Hill over Winston if Brees went down again.
