My Nextdoor is lit today! Finally someone decided to go off on the Karens:
Get a grip.
It seems that we, in this area, have quite a number of omniscient, self-appointed purveyors of information, misinformation and advice, who seem to think that the proletariat, incapable of reading and deciding how to live their lives, are in need of regular instruction and scolding. The main bludgeoning tool is the citation of some supposed expert and/or study, to add credence to their admonishments.
I was a young boy during WWII, when we sent 500,000 Americans to their deaths, been through the polio epidemic, the 1957 Asian Flu pandemic, which killed 116,000 Americans, as well as being in two wars. Never have I seen such cowardice as I am seeing now, hiding in your little sanctuaries and denigrating people who think otherwise. Stop with your pontificating, lecturing and scolding, and dragging out your personal experts, and get a grip.
The responses coming in from Karen and her 'guy friends' are hilarious. One wants him arrested for terrorist activity/thoughts. My only question is which OTer is this posting from Austin????
