The Navajo Nation in Utah, Arizona and New Mexico is one of the hardest hit areas of the country, but testing, tracking and monitoring for the new coronavirus are complicated by a myriad of jurisdictional issues that often leave the 8,000 tribal members who live on the reservation inside Utah boundaries feeling like an afterthought to those with the power to help them.

The perpetual victims of this nation will always complain.

Sucks, no doubt.
John Stossel had a pretty good report concerning Native Americans and what government assistance has done to them.
But don't worry, socialism works.

It sad, no doubt. But a lot of that article is no different than what Americans across the nation are dealing with.
Their remote location, and tribal sovereignty doesn't help.

Do you really think that's what he was saying?

The irony of the same posters whining incessantly about other people being victims is just palpable lately.

Really high infection rates and deaths per capita with very limited access to health care. Many on the Navajo reservation don't even have electricity. It's one of the most economically depressed areas of the country I've every seen (I would say the most), and I've traveled all over the country. It makes the slums of NOLA or St. Louis look like Disney world.
When my son was in Private Pre-K and Kindergarten (catholic school), they would do a weeks worth of collections of the Najavo every year. Day one would be clothing, day two school supplies, day 3 food, etc. We spent some time on the reservation one year so he could see why they were collecting for them.

Had they gotten any recent blanket shipments from the army?

Do you remember that story that came out yesterday? It was about these people who went through some really hard times, but eventually persevered and overcame those adversities and are very successful today.
I'll see if i can find it...oh yeah, those stories aren't reported. Instead there are 50 stories a day on who is a victim. The actual thought of someone overcoming adversity is looked down upon by the media and the idiots that listen to the media. Everyone wants to be a victim...WHat happens when the spotlight fades? Are there stories of that person/group succeeding despite the hardships? No. It's "now on to our latest victim".
Society, in general, has become a mass of individuals trying to out compete who can appear to be suffering the most. Most of the "suffering" is manufactured, and any signs of positivity as a result of real suffering is either not reported or looked down upon.
Hell, you had a prominent Demcrat moron congresswoman try to tell congress that the idea of "pulling oneself up by their bootstraps" doesn't happen, and then diverged into the physical act of pulling one's self up by their bootstraps and how it was not possible. It was the singular most stupid statement i've seen before, said by a woman who never ceases to show how completely idiotic she is.

Don’t give a frick about these people. Get off your arse and do something

This is so far from the case in Utah. Check the link below for Native American stats, at least from those that dont refuse to report. That state tried to help them with this roll out, and they chose not to allow it. These are the same tribes that still have seperate laws for "mixed bloods".
