List games you think did not get hype but deserve the play time.

I've been playing I Am Alive. This game is awesome. It's on Uplay plus. Hard to fine a comparison. Maybe Alan Wake.

Either way. Never heard about it, but I've been playing for hours and having a blast with the challenges it offers.

What other games do yall have as secret gems?

I feel like the Dishonored franchise is kind of underrated. I enjoyed them thoroughly.

Just glancing at my Steam library...Monster Hunter: World, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, The Talos Principle, and Warframe.

The Talos Principle was probably one of the best games I played no one here talked about.

Destiny has been talked about as nauseam. It is a story of what could have been at this point.

First Dishonored kicks so much arse. Must have done at least 10 play throughs back in the day.

Second one was somewhat disappointing unfortunately.

My man.

Croteam is great. Serious Sam is probably my favorite FPS series. And Talos blew away my expectations.

All of Croteam's games are scored by the same guy. They're on Spotify. One of my go-to playlists at work.

Undying

Pre-Bioshock PC FPS adventure written by Clive Barker. I say Pre-Bioshock because it does the dual wield thing REALLY well. Had an exceptional mood. Scariest FPS until the Bioshock/Dead Space revival. And still is super scary. Great mechanics, great lore and story, great gameplay, Sorely underrated.

Monster Hunter World was great. It was a stop gap game for me unfortunately.

Talos Principle is so good, and an easy "I'll hop in and solve a few puzzles" type of game.

I loved the first Dishonored, but for some reason can't get into 2. It plays differently or something. Can't put my finger on it.

Rayman Legends. I remember the music being really awesome while playing.

Sunset Riders: A classic side-scrolling arcade-style Western shooter with crazy difficulty on the SNES. The music is great, the locales varied, and the combat unforgiving.

Donkey Kong Kountry 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest: Overshadowed by the more famous original, this game was the pinnacle of the craft. Amazing level design and music, more collecting, more Kongs. It’s a classic.

Starfox 64: It’s talked about some, but honestly not nearly enough. The characters, environment, and replay-ability are all top-notch. There’s no telling how many hours I sunk into this game while getting all of the medals twice.

Diddy Kong Racing: Beats the pants off Mario Kart 64 for difficultly and level design. Once you’ve played this Mario Kart just seems so vanilla. I believe this was also one of (if not the) first racing games to offer multiple vehicle types with vastly different handling (I still have nightmares about using the hovercraft).
