The citizens will have to sit on street corners and drum on plastic buckets for spare change!
1) that already represents a significant NAISC code for the city;
2) this won’t work out so well if nobody is walking past the plastic bucket band.

New Orleans is destined to become Baltimore.
New Orleans is behind Baltimore. Baltimore has its issues but there are way more opportunities in Baltimore and Baltimore County than in New Orleans. New Orleans doesn't even try anymore.

The wife and I used to go to New Orleans every year for the USKA Worlds competition. We would stay a week. This was all throughout the 90’s.
The last time we went was 2014 when they busted the lock on my truck and stole my pistol.
I don’t go there now. Won’t go back either. It’s full of thieves, beggars and street hustlers. There is nothing there for me anymore. If it sunk into the sea the state would likely be better off, especially if the population moved to Houston or Atlanta.

When the revenue bottoms out Mayor LaTaxevader will be looking for more government handouts, as she’s been raised and become accustomed to doing.
While she’s at it I expect her to seek tax relief and forgiveness.
When none of this happens and she’s forced to rescind the ludicrous decision then she’ll resort to the old standbys - racism, OMB!

NOLA survived Hurricane Katrina. They will get through this fake arse pandemic. Everybody there needs to stay in door and board their stashes. When they come back out, they can start selling their stashes again.

Then the political class is faced with a unique opportunity to stop playing identity politics in the city and for the state to get serious on reforming the tax code and the education system

Maybe someone could tell that bunch from San Clemente that kids are skateboarding around the Super Dome, and they can bury the entire city in sand!

I lived in NOLA from 2010-2018. I worked at a job where I witnessed the governmental incompetence daily. I got to a point where I was tired of breaking my back trying to help a city that didn't want to be helped. The city can't be saved.

She’s cancelling all events with crowds until 2021?
The more economical loss the city has the more Federal money NOLA will receive.
And you know what happens when politicians get their hands on free money.
It’s all part of her “plan”.
