I’d say start to finish 10-15 minutes. An experienced climber can definitely beat me up the tree but he cannot do it more quiet and he cannot select three amount of trees that I can. All I do is bow hunt public land and I’ve tried climbers and multiple lock on’s. Nothing I’ve used comes close to the the packability and ease of setting up then the lone wolf lock on. Some climbers are more comfortable to sit in for long hours I would agree. I always set up and take my stand Down every hunt unless I go in the evening and know I’m going back the next morning bc the set up is $450 and thieves are a PITA.

I have 3 sets of sticks, a Millenium hang on, API Bowhunter, Summit Sentry, and a Treewalker climbers. I'll be selling the Millennium and sticks as well as the Summit. Couple of drawbacks to the sticks/hang on setup is sometimes I want to get high in a tree over a cutover. I've had multiple deer walk right by the base of the tree, see the sticks, look up and bolt. At one time it was the best option for me.

My Treewalker packs without straps. The bottom squeeze fits into the top, no rattles. It's only 18lbs (lighter than my hang on setup). And I have a Sherpa cart setup for it that turns it into a deer cart. Just the best I've ever used.

Deer prob smell scent on the sticks more then the sight of the sticks. I only bow hunt and can as high as I need to. Any higher it would be a bad angle for the shot. Everyone has there own preferences I just enjoy hunting out the lock on more.

Having used both methods for years, some back to the 1980’s, i say this about fixed stands and stiks.

In a hunting lease, the fixed/ sticks are great. You can have several, or quik brackets with more stiks.

On public land, if you hunt sign, and move according to what you see, sometimes i make a decision to move after dark, for the next morning. You are not going to do this quietly at dark, keep the stealth quietness, carry all that out, and stash it for the next morning. Especially 2 miles deep. You still have to walk out, drive to camp , eat, shower, re pack, sleep, alarm goes off mighty early. Drive, walk, get sticks & fix stand, quiet 4:30 am up, sling strap around try to catch it , get another stik, sling strap around, catch it, ping pang 4:30 am noise now all deer are saying, “ huh, i ain’t going over there”

No, on public, hunting sign and stragety, them fixed and sticks are not going to cut it.

Nobody ever considers reality that i have laid out.

Now, on a lease when you can ease in from the gate, walk a mere 5/10th mile , move it mid day, thats a different story

Summit Titan

Nice and large. I'm not hiking it in for long distances, so the weight doesn't matter. It's almost too comfortable. I've fallen asleep in it more times than I haven't.
