4runners are incredibly overpriced. Extremely reliable.

If you plan to keep the vehicle for 10 years.. sure.

If you plan to wheel it? Sure..

If not, go Jeep Grand Cherokee, keep it for four years then dump it

Not equipped with much. Basic SR5 level. Got them to add running boards and remote start. 34,800 without those. $35,500 with those two features added. Other than that, basic SR5 4x4.

I have the exact same vehicle but a 2016. Bought new off the lot in late Jan 2017. Remote start isn't all that great. It shuts off before you can enter vehicle. I paid $32k for mine.

Went to buy one. Bought the GX460 instead- 3years old, 30,000 miles and all the Lexus comfort for the same price.

4runners are not cheap, but they arent overpriced. They hold value extremely well, so you will be getting some of that initial cost back compared to a similarly priced jeep.

Went look at one today in New Iberia. Grey SR5 (not the premium) was told low 30's as a rough number. Test drove a $45,000 model.

Two things, the ride was a lot nicer and quieter than I thought a body on frame "truck" would be.

Blind Spot monitoring is not available on any trim level.

They did have two demo white Tacomas for $38,900. I am not a Toyota guy so I do not know the trim level but they were sweet looking with black rims. One had 4,000 miles and I think the other was under 1,000.

Absolutely nothing is wrong...I would love to start outfitting my Tacoma with more than just tires, but my wallet says nope!

Get a 4th Generation (2003 - 2009) with a V8. You'll save money, it's a better vehicle, and it'll still outlast you.

Look, I get that Toyota makes reliable vehicles but I am curious as to what benchmarks you are claiming that 17 year old vehicle is better.

Better ride?
Better safety?
Better gas mileage?
Better paint?
Better technology?
Better crossing Amazon rivers and middle East deserts?

Certainly interested in seeing what the car market does over the next few months. Have been passively looking for about a year and may start making some low ball offers soon.

Tell them $30K cash or you’re moving on. Don’t call back, don’t accept less. Give it a week, hold to your guns and it’s yours.

The only thing “better” would be the 4.7 V8 that was available in the 4th gen. Other than that it’s all LOL. The inside of them were ummm not the best. But muh v8

Bought my wife a 2019 in October. SR5 4WD with leather seats and 3rd row. OTD was 35k on the dot. I felt like I could of gotten a little better deal but I was in a hurry. I think that’s a decent price.

I have a 2014 trail edition. It's the same exterior model as the 2020. I would hold out for a year or two if you can and see if they put out the 6th generation.
