Kind of a weird ask, but is it possible to get one piling in BR area?

Looking to get one piling. I can drive it and maybe pick it up. Not sure if I can pick up actually but willing to try. May have to rent a trailer big enough to do so if Home Depot or any other type establishment has one. Looking for 25 feet give or take in length. That’s what makes it hard to pick up for me. But again I wouldn’t expect anyone to deliver a single piling so if I need to rent a trailer or whatever to get it done I would. Building a tree house with no trees. Found plan I want to attempt and need one piling I believe with 4x4’s on each side. Saw pics looks easy enough to me. Just need to figure out this piling issue.
Side question, if I get a 25 foot piping how far does it need to be buried? Is there a formula in case I go up or down in length? TIA

The formula I have always gone by, for setting electric poles, is 10% + 2 feet. so you need to go about 5 foot deep with your hole.

get a wood utility pole
wood or piping, bury it at least 4'-5' with plenty of sack crete all around it
whatever you get, be weary of what the wood was treated with and how the occupants of the treehouse might interact with it

Try the power company....they usually have some old ones or ones that won't spec out that they'll part with, sometimes for free! If they don't catch a line crew in the neighborhood...they'll get you one for the price of a lunch most likely.
A boat trailer works like a charm to haul poles. Put the boat in the water, use the winch to pull the pole up on the trailer and lash it down. Hang a flag off the end of it and you are golden. Probably don't want to do it in rush hour but early Sunday morning in most towns you could drive an elephant down the road in the bed of your truck and John Q Law would never know it....if you get the right line crew they'll take it wherever you need it if it ain't too far.

definitely not creosote, but some people might be weary of the other treatments as well. personally i wouldn't worry about CCA bc as long as junior doesn't chew on the pole then he'll be fine

Can you post the plans for the house? I am intrigued.

Wouldn’t a telephone pole work? Usually you can find them used from electrical company for fairly cheap.

That's neat, too bad you don't have a real tree to build it on. Utility Pole is going to be your best bet for sure. You can drill through it easy, and run bolts through and stuff.

I have a power pole that was removed from my home to run underground services to it if you are interested. Free, just bring a trailer and we could load it.

Awesome. Are you in or close to BR? And how long is it roughly?

FYI a pile is a pole, just upside down.
