Friend,
We have several empty rooms if you need a place to stay. Liquor, tobacco, drugs, profanities, images that could cause lust, and Book of Mormon are not allowed.
If and when the Poorboy Tours bus gets going I will need some help if you’re interested. I am saddened to hear of your situation.

Your post will be extremely unpopular but it’s true. Plus, you shouldn’t feel bad for calling someone out for making a thread that exploits a mentally ill persons suicide just to rally up the group think on this site of “this FAKE virus shite dun took muh sports and muh crawfish boils frum me“
Someone's bitter. Your dad get laid off?

My dad is retired and enjoying life. He’s about to collect a nice stimulus check and spend it on something nice for the misses

It’s tough dude, had a crappy last nine months. I can’t lie to you guys I was at my lowest two months ago. Had a widowmaker in July, lost my buisness a few months later, liver started messing up, heart failure, leak in my roof, ceiling collapsed in my sons room. Broke, wife is stressed kids are also, it’s a mess. Had actually typed out the notes for my loved ones. Decided not to do it for some reason, still depressed but not as deep in the dark hole like I was..

U$C has zero legit titles since the 1970s.

My wife lives for those perfect little world Hallmark movies where the main person runs a little coffee shop in a quaint little town in "Christmasville".
Well, the dark reality to that in 2020 is that owner of that coffee shop now is now:
making $0
has about a $1500 or more rent due to the owner of the building the shop is in
owes the bank for the $100k renovation she did on the shop to make it nice
had about $500 or more in food product like milk and cream that she had to just flush down the drain because it spoiled.

Not justifying, rationalizing, or saying it's OK... and not me, but someone I used to know
Sometimes you hit a certain age where you're still working, or trying to, and wake up to the fact that your most productive years are behind you. But you still have obligations and family to support. Then an income drought prolongs to the point where your savings evaporate, options dwindle and you realize that you're worth more dead than alive due to a life insurance policy.
I've heard many times that suicide is a selfish act, but is it really when it's undertaken not as an escape, but so that others may benefit from the insurance proceeds when you can't provide for your family directly. I never realized this but most life insurance policies will still pay out for suicide after the first few years of the policy life have passed.
Owl please don't read this as endorsement of this path, that's not my intent. My only point is to others here that you don't really know what you'll do until faced with a set of circumstances and it's foolish to say "never" until/unless you have. I knew a guy like that and he expounded on his insight of his decision to me as described above.
..I need a drink now

However... it's easy to get trapped into the idea of "worth" being your ability to provide, but in reality it is so much more than that. It's a sappy example but remember George was faced with that dilemma in the movie It's a Wonderful Life when Potter said he was worth more dead than alive ... but that wasn't really true in George's case and I'm betting it vary rarely is in anyone's case.

Can I join in on this? I got the call today that my 90 day furlough was cancelled after only 13 days. The job I was still hoping for was erased. Fat chance of finding anything in my industry in the next 6 plus months.
