If you owe even more money...wait as long as you can. If are getting some of your money back, why wait?
I got money back. Filed in February, and got my money in 8 days.

I’ve always filed federal taxes before state taxes. Can you file the state taxes first in Louisiana? I was planning on filing federal taxes in July.

I filed mine at the end of February and owed $5k :(

Might file extension. May not have to pay em in a few months when the country collapses

I did mine and had the money taken out of my account in January. They sure take it quicker than they give it.

Sucks being retired and still having to pay taxes.
Well you didn’t mind deducting all the money you were putting away while working right? You were welcome to pay taxes on it back then

I filed months ago and already spent my refund

Haven't even touched my 401 acc or retirement plan. I live off SSD and a insurance policy plan I had that pays big bucks every month till I hit 70.

Probably owe this year
I always do them Feb 1.
If I have a refund coming I file right away. If I owe they wait until the deadline.

I'll send documents to the CPA tomorrow and let her decide how and when

Raises hand.
I'm in no rush to send my annual check.

if you are not waiting on a record, better to file sooner than later ... get your commitments id'd and out of the way

I’m waiting until I get my government check since my 2018 return will yield a whole lot more and my 2019 return would yield zero.

I went ahead and got it out of the way.

I’ve already filed. I owed a little bit but I think there is going to be a lot of fraudulent tax returns this year with the extra stimulus money available. That’s why I went ahead and filed.
