Will we see face masks after covid?

It doesn't bother me if someone wears one or not, but will some of these proud wearers wear these next flu season when they are sick? OR is this just the newest fad to get on custom masks etc?

I think we’ll see a few more people wearing them. Definitely more hand sanitizer.

You won't see facemasks once we start hitting 95 degrees.

Hopefully we see an increase in washing hands.
I really hope we see a change in attitude about staying home when sick, but I doubt it will happen. Too many employers just don't give a frick, and they may claim they do but their sick attendance policies say otherwise. On the other side of the coin, people don't give a frick and abuse the system when they are offered generous sick time policies. Also people are selfish and will infect hundreds of people just so they can do what they want.

I definitely think people will be publicly shamed into wearing them at some point in this recovery.

Social media. Had a classmate today go off about idiots in town not wearing masks. I put my opinion out there, he later deleted his post. However, his post had support as far as a lady posting a picture with her and her husband in their house with masks on. They looked ridiculous.

Amazes me that people don’t understand how masks and gloves work for infection control yet they are prepared to chastise others. Shut the frick up about what you don’t understand is what I tell them. There are even people on this board doing it.

Oh stfu. The same people who use this shite aren't disinfecting it. Or its a make shift mask from a damn t-shirt or material that has no filter. Same idiots put gloves on touching pin pads to put the gloves in their purse or pocket.
Kindly fk off without thinking. Like I said, it personally doesn't bother me either way. Just curious next fall if these people get sick, will they put the mask on or not, because it was a fad. Hell, months ago they said masks and quarantine wouldn't stop it.

I think it is more along the lines of people can’t get masks they are using what they have. The cloth masks made of fabric aren’t going to filter out the virus but it can help a sick person keep it in.
While the masks probably aren’t doing much, they are still doing something which is better than nothing.

'At some point' is the key term when it comes to supply.
When things start opening back up and cases start their increase people will cling to their masks like a shield and expect other to protect them by wearing theirs.
Not saying it makes sense, just saying I see it happening. The weak will whine and get their way.

I hope so. I paid $5 for that mask and cut up a perfectly good a/c filter for the insert. If I gotta drop that kind of coin, I’m wearing it!

Yes we will. Last February I was traveling in Asia and many of our yellow friends were wearing them.

Some sheep will, but it'll go away when hot weather really hits.
One thing I wish comes out of all this is people like my MIL will stop the damn licking of fingers when eating, touching the S/P shakers, catsup, etc., even in restaurants. If you have grabbed a bottle of hot sauce in a restaurant, think again who had it before you

Asians wore masks long before this. I think in large settings we’lll see an uptick but in everyday situations it will go back to normal, especially after we isolate China from the Americas.

i hope it becomes the norm when people are sick.
people are fricking filthy coughing and sneezing wherever with no care.
