Why does Drew Brees get so disrespected?

#1 all-time in career passing yards
#1 all-time in career touchdowns
#1 all-time in career completions
#3 all-time in career passer rating
With all of that said, he didn't make the NFL All-Time Team and didn't even make the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. He hasn't been a 1st Team All-Pro since 2006 and he's never won an NFL MVP. So what gives? Why is it that Brees never gets his due? Is it because he's only been to one Super Bowl or does it run deeper than that?
What say you guys?

You could maybe argue Brees over Rodgers this decade, but that’s pretty dang elite company.
I do think he should have made the all time team FWIW.

I think he’s a top 5 QB of all time. Maybe some see that as disrespect, but I think he’s not as respected because of the time he plays in. He’s had two QB’s during his playing days I’d put above him, not only based off Superbowls, but also because one has changed the game mentally and wasn’t always on the best team (Peyton). The other is the MJ of football (TB).

Brees is sort of like the Hank Aaron of NFL QBs. He'll retire with a bunch of major career statistical records but never had an out of the world superlative season or peak like Rodgers, Brady, and Manning had.

That’s patently false. He’s outlasted Brady and Rodgers if you look at the numbers.
The argument for others QBs vs. Brees shifts depending who the other guys is. Brady it’s rings, Manning it’s MVPs, Rodgers it’s eye test and “arm talent”, Elways it’s eye test, Marino it’s “ahead of his time”.
It doesn’t really matter though. He’ll retire with all the records, a ring, and first ballot HOF. He’s fine.

Probably because he plays for the Saints, who are viewed as a red headed stepchild in the NFL.
If Brees has the same numbers but played for the Cowboys, Packers, or Patriots he would be getting deepthroated 24/7
