This whole deal seems so simple to me...
If you’re over 60 or have underlying health conditions, stay home and stay away from people.
If you’re under 60, stay away from people over 60 and refrain from handshakes/hugs/kisses and wash your hands. But otherwise Carry on.

I get that models are just that and I'm glad that these were way off.
Hopefully JBE does the right thing in weeks to come and starts letting us "be normal". Or somewhat normal.

One of my employees got a positive test result back yesterday. Took 12 days to get the result. He has been feeling fine for several days now.

Looks like hospitalizations up, vents down.
Part of the decrease in vents is possibly due to a better understanding by doctors who have figured out that venting a person too early can and has done more harm than good in many cases. They have started reevaluating the vent standards in regards to Covid-19.
They are understanding how to treat this illness better and better every day.

this will be the next phase. Only issue is when it will be implemented. Hopefully at the end of April.

JBE is going to do what he's done all along with this virus - follow Trump's staff's recommendations.

Increase in hospitalizations sucks but, this thing is done.
But I wish they would show the turnover rate for the hospitalizations. Was that 131 NP and 100 discharged? Or 231/200?

Yes. Doesn't look like it was passed on to anyone else at the office.

They are still working the backlog on the old tests. The new tests come back much quicker.
The "new" cases are a combination of the old tests of people with mild symptoms from the end of March which was really the peak and new tests from the last few days.
Hospitalizations are influenced because Doctors are admitting people in high risk groups earlier than they were before which also helps Progression and limits vents.
Doctors are also getting better at knowing which medications to use. They are much better at treating this than they were a few weeks ago.

This is really great news and we all thought the medical community would get better at this the more we learn about it. But you don't know how that's going to happen so it can't get baked in the predictions.
But... it's going to be a big reason why this thing, while bad, may end up not being as dire as projected.
People are doing great work here.

The problem is that you are going to have to include all the obese people in this group as well, which makes this approach more difficult. But on balance I agree with you.
