Does anyone in Dallas county even like Clay Jenkins?

I'm not in Dallas county and don't know a lot about him. He seems to love him some tell people what to do. He also posted these covid-19 graphs, with what i'm assuming is a straight face. These are models for Dallas county he's basing his decisions off of. Not that he's said where he's getting them from.

More of a LeRoy Jenkins fan.

So to avoid an alleged surge of 17,500 cases we destroy the Dallas economy. Now factor in that of the 17,500 17,000 would be more than fine and one is left wondering what the frick is going on here...

He is pretty blunt and tells it like it is. However, the moment he threatened to shut down the parks and trails was the moment he lost my support.

I don't know anything about the guy but my wife is working covid patients in Dallas. As of right now things are fine. All of the hospital admin and elected officials are freaking out though.

That is not even close.
Clay Jenkins has become the slimiest of politicians. He has been searching how to get his name in the news anyway possible for years now.
When the Dallas Mayor (D) and Texas Governor (R) agree he is not doing a good job, that is all you have to know.

If you read the graph it says “cases per day” on the left hand side.

Clay needs to quit is crying with Abbott. Admit you don't need the convention center turned into a hospital and let it go.

County Judge Clay Jenkins is a complete & utter POS. He worked in the Obama administration before he became Dallas County Judge. When he first came on the scene he was a big player in attempting to get illegal kids from Mexico who had crossed the border to stay & live at Dallas County schools & even Dallas libs said no to that. He wasn't going to let any of those kids stay anywhere near Highland Park where he lives but pushed hard to bring them into middle class Dallas neighborhoods. Somehow he still got re-elected after that. Unreal.
Just because he is very calm & talks in a low voice liberals think that makes you a great leader like his mentor Barry Soetero. For some reason the Mayor has very little power in Dallas(not that the idiot mayor would make any decisions anyway) & the County Judge is the one making all these calls. He is now in a letter war with Gov Abbot to play games while appeasing his liberal base.
Dallas County has gone full blown libertard since I moved here in 2006. It is sad.

Dallas County Commissioners Court is akin to the old days at Audubon Zoo. Is a zoo, circus and Mardi Gras all rolled into one.
It amazes me Dallas County functions much less attracts the commerce it does.
County Judges sway a lot of influence and power in Texas

I wish John Wiley Price were doing the conferences.
Though I would likely disagree with him on everything (except opening pawn shops), he is a true advocate for his constituents. And he'd be more fun to listen to.

He's getting pretty high marks here in Dallas from most people. The set up is a bit odd so there were lots of questions as to why a judge seemed to be making so many decision.
Abbott, in general, is viewed by folks in Dallas, Houston, Austin and to some degree San Antonio as having moved too slowly. Most think he's an a-hole, but if we are getting specific about this issue...
So yeah, at least one person in Dallas likes Clay Jenkins.

I'm not sure his own family even likes him.

Yeah. Like I said, Dallas politicians and hospital administrators are freaking out. They are standing up hospitals in Dallas county with zero patients and zero staff. My wife is doing that right now today as a matter of fact.
Hopefully all of this never comes to fruition.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with this. I've been in the North Dallas Suburbs for over 3 years and Abbott seems to revered here. Like in a can-do-no-wrong type of way.
ETA:
Jenkins does seem to be a very pushy, petty guy and i'm not exactly a fan

Dallas has done a great job of developing over the last 15 years. Bishop Arts, the Design District, slowly developing the Trinity River Park (slowly). Lot's of great development in Dallas proper and the kids moving in in droves.
Plus, in 2018 we drove a few Trumpkins out of the our state representative and US congressional ranks.
So all in all, pretty good.

Giving Nancy Pelosi more power is such a great thing.
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
God damn, people admit that.

Abbott played it just fine. Leave it to the counties. What Dallas county does isn't going to be appropriate for what Crockett county does.
