theyve set themselves up to take BPA

lot of people are focusing on WR and LB, rightfully so. But it could be any position, including RB or QB, if Love falls.

could be Swift....setting up for letting Kamara go after next season, or trade this year.

Do not want that to happen, but this is one of those out of right field scenarios i can see happening.

I love JT. I think he’s going to be a stud. I just wish we ran the ball enough to justify having Kamara and JT.

We had the perfect balance in 17 and 18 but really it was 2017. I wish we’d go back to that ground and pound and use JT the way we used Ingram. I think that would benefit our defense as well as Brees.

ETA: I’d feel a lot better about taking a RB in round 1 if I knew we’d sign Bradham or Ogletree. I get horrific flashbacks sometimes seeing both Robertson and Anthony get meaningful snaps at LB last year

Couldn't agree more. Really surprised at our lb'er corp right now.

On top of that, teams always seem to think of their own positional needs differently than fans do, for a variety of reasons.

Yeah I am extremely surprised they never really addressed it. Doesn't seem very Saint like

If you think about it though, it is very Payton like. I’ve said before it just seems like outside of having a Vilma or Davis, he doesn’t really care what else is forming that position group. He doesn’t want bad players but he’s perfectly ok with having Kiko and Klein type players fill out that position group.

He did try and get Jamie Collins, though, which tells me he’s slowly starting to realize that we need another piece there.

I’d take Laviska Shenault over him. Both make their money after the catch but Shenault is built like LB and is as slippery as a player much smaller than him. He runs people over he catches the ball but he’s had an injury history. If they traded back he would be a great pick.

Alabama offered Aiyuk when he came out of JUCO. Didn't know that. Tennessee also offered.

I think he could be a good grab cause of his ability to break tackles.

plus DB's more and more aren't as good at tackling these days? I mean they barely hit anymore at practice just a thought.

Dane Brugler’s 7 round mock

New Orleans Saints
1 (24) LB Patrick Queen, LSU
3 (88) WR Van Jefferson, Florida
4 (130) CB Troy Pride Jr., Notre Dame
5 (169) DT Larrell Murchison, NC State
6 (203) RB Raymond Calais, Louisiana

Would really like this draft.

Would be willing to bet we trade up into the second. We have comp picks next year most likely and there's just no one Payton and Loomis stand pat in Brees last year. What the f are we going to do w/10 picks next year? Bet you see us in round 2

would only change one thing.....make the DT an OT. but i am not very familiar with this Larrell guy. i am speaking to the present depth chart.

Not related to that mock but, CJ Henderson is growing on me. He probably won’t be there but man him and Lattimore could be special.

I'd take Taylor but don't want a running back at 24.

I don’t think there is anyway that Henderson makes it past the falcons and the Cowboys
