He has YAC ability that I think this offense would love. The biggest thing this offense lacks is guys who can turn chicken shite into chicken salad. There's evidence of that on Aiyuk's highlight tape. I have concerns about his ability to beat press coverage. If he's smart, Sean will like him

Right, as a rookie WR3 he wouldnt have to be fully developed. PLay to his strengths and let him develop

Having watched the draft for so long, a few years ago I realized that this line of thought is just not how teams think at all.

First of all, we fans think its "too early" because guys who aren't employed by teams say it is so on the internet or TV.

The reason why guys "climb up the rankings" as the draft approaches is because the TV Draftniks are catching up to what actual teams think.

Second, every team has completely different rankings. Every team evaluates players differently. Some team might have him in the top 15. We don't know.

Every year there are guys that go in the mid rounds that turn out to be all pros and guys that go in the first round that are bums. Hell, at least half the guys in the first round will be bums.

This isn't an exact science.

If a team likes the guy, and he won't be at your next pick: take him. Would I prefer to trade back and get more picks, always. But if you want him, take him.

you act like he was playing for 04' USC or some shite

he was playing on a 8-5 team himself

He was productive in every game in 2019 besides Utah (1c 7yds) and Cal (2c-31yds).

He caught 4 balls or more in every other game for at least 50yards in those contest.

5-100yd games.

Theres not much to quibble over with who he did or didn't produce against.

Couldn’t agree more. Last year we got players we had graded at top 60 players in the 4th (CGJ) and 6th round (Saquon Hampton). A lot of times teams may also have high grades on players that other teams want and are not expecting them to last to the next pick.

Exactly bunch

The information is so fluid

If you’re going off shite you heard in December or January, you’re way behind.

Wtf does “it’s just too early for me” even mean lmao

Exactly. Also, teams get information on other teams boards that TV people are not privy too. Whether leaked and false or legit, I've heard many times teams thinking that blank team had a player rated highly so they had to get ahead of them.

These teams have ideas on what each other are thinking.

Their QB Jayden Daniels was a dual threat freshman and a 60% passer

Daniels actually finished the season as the Pac-12’s least accurate quarterback, throwing an accurate pass just 48.4% of the time

It means people have been reading too many mock drafts of where guys are “supposed to go” instead of where real teams value them. This happens every year. It’s like people on this board don’t want to give credit to the guys who have drafted: Colston, Evans, Nicks, Henderson, Meachem, Cooks, Jimmy Graham, Snead, Michael Thomas and Mark Ingram and so therefore believe they’d be reaching if they took Aiyuk.

If Payton wants Aiyuk at 24, I’m willing to bet it’s for a damn good reason.

Yep. Remember Payton saying they still had some first round grades on a few guys in 2017 after they took Lattimore and Ram? One was Marcus Williams.

I think they had Kamara as a high second and he kept falling so they snagged him.

The second rep in the Michigan State Clip is a touchdown if the QB throws literally a half decent ball. My god he dusted the corner. That route was disgusting

Holy lord, the route at the 1:15 mark is not suitable for children of all ages. What a filthy double move. This QB absolutely sucks

He gets up on corners very quickly. His deep routes and double moves are killers. He does it so subtly too.

The 1:00 mark of the WSU film is precisely what this offense is lacking. 5 yard slant that he took to the freaking house. There is no one on this roster than has that ability right now
