Is the New Orleans convention center being used as a hospital yet? What about the tent hospitals in NYC city park? Are these places being used? Im asking out of curiosity because I remember hearing that hospitals would be overwhelmed in 10 days 10 days ago.

Yes, we are getting to the point where we can't handle anymore patients. Crazy times.

With 1200 staff there are probably some killer card games going on.

While numerous nurses are getting plowed in the vacant rooms.

OMG

COVID NURSES>>>>>>D-DAY FORCES

My Aunt Karen writes every day from the frontline. Things are worse than the newsmen are reporting. Aunt K has been making her own homemade face masks for 20 years, her designs inspired a glimmer of hopeful joy every morning, both in her co-workers as well as the patients of the substance abuse rehabilitation facility. All of sudden they telling her it ain't "sanitary". Give me a frigging break, political correctness on steroids

I don't know what's going on in New Orleans. NYC is a shitshow. There are a number of field hospitals in various stages of construction. The one in Central Park is serving primarily MT Sinai overflow, I don't think it is operational yet, but I haven't asked around about it. Everywhere is full and COVID now makes up more than half of new admissions. While treating patients and doing everything else, all the hospitals in the state are effectively merging operations so that patients and resources can move more efficiently. It is an absolute goat rodeo.

This isn't because there is no one to put on it, but rather red tape to get people transferred there. This will wor itself out in a few days.

NYC has travel contracts being offered for ER and ICU,

I am hearing anywhere from 10K to 6800 a week. If a hospital is paying that, there IS a problem.

How can you make that statement, when a new admission can't be tested and if they can won't have immediate results. Bottom line, are we triaging people with the flu who feel bad and are scared they will die and seek attention, or are there significant numbers that are on the verge of succumbing to the virus and were forced to go in or die?

The MSM atm can scare anyone into going to seek help if they sneeze twice...
