Baseball is by far my favorite sport, but football, NCAA or pro, rules sports in the USA. I felt like the NBA was on its way to pass baseball before the lockdown. I’ve seen NASCAR races more interesting than some baseball games. Still my fav because I grew up playing it, but def not the most popular or best sport in America.

Baseball is basically just a hobby, although I’ll admit it’s fun once or twice a year

It’s not what I see. It’s my personal experience. I played travel baseball my entire life growing up. When I got to high school, I finally had the guts to tell my parents I didn’t enjoy it and it bored me. Never regretted dropping it.

Maybe you just played against some shitty competition.

You could say that about every sport though. There’s exceedingly boring games in every sport.

Most popular doesn’t necessarily mean best.

Baseball is a pastime or activity. And a boring one at that.

Still better than soccer and basketball though.

No it’s not. You don’t even have to be watching the game to be able to follow along. You can be doing any other thing and can still know what’s going on

This.

Baseball is the heartbeat of spring, summer and early fall, a sort of background music. I miss it.

Exactly. 90% of games on Saturdays are freaking garbage.

Nah. Soccer sucks. I always hear the soccer hipsters say, "Muh nonstop action!" Meanwhile, only the two players closest to the ball are running. Everyone else is just standing there or flopping.

It’s the third best sport. And I don’t even like basketball that much

I’m still devastated about college baseball... I know it’s probably just me and Lyn Rollins but damn.

LSU was on a 5-game win streak and had overhauled their entire hitting approach to go along with a very good -potential to be great- pitching staff.

Imagine saying it's not slow and boring then giving these 2 reasons to support your statement.

Baseball is best when:
-you’re such a passionate fan that every pitch maters
-you’re just wanting to enjoy a day at the park and don’t care care who wins.

Most people fall in between and get frustrated by the pace.
