I suck at searching so I couldn’t find anything about this show here. We just finished the first season and i thought it was incredible. Everything about this show was well done in my opinion. Keri Russell is terrific. Anyone else love this show ?

I love me some Keri Russell. What a smoke show! The show only gets better as it goes.

the end of ep 1 tracked to “tusk” is maybe the best thing I’ve ever seen on TV

The Americans is a top 5 all time for me. The acting, story lines, and soundtrack are superb throughout.

Ranking seasons, S1 would be the lowest for me, but is still well worth the time.

Great show. Enjoy the ride. There was a large thread on here. I finished the series about a year ago and went back and read it.

Amazing show - highly recommended! Just everything well done imo. I also just learned that the Phillip Jennings, played by Matthew Rhys, is a Welch actor. His accent on the Graham Norton show caught me off guard. It was like finding out Hugh Laurie (House) wasn't American!

Always had threads about this show, lot of love on this board. It also had one of the best final show to a series.

Absolutely stuck the landing. That one 11 minute scene was the most riveting and tense scenes in TV history.

Yeah, him not winning the best actor for every year this show was on the air means that those awards shows mean jack squat.

As the show goes on, Phillip gets more and more tortured, conflicted, and lost. Elizabeth becomes more single-mined and one-dimensional, and Phillip just keeps devolving further into his own special hell. One of the all-time great roles in television history IMO.

Some other plotlines can be forgiven for the overall greatness of the show. Too bad you didn't watch it in real time, so you'll never know the suspense and speculation of a mail robot appearance.

That’s exactly what I did. Glad I finished it through this time.

It’s just so consistently good throughout its run. And it ranks up there with Justified and Breaking Bad as far as sticking the landing. I think it’s one of the most under-appreciated shows out there.
