I bought the American-made prostate tickler this morning over the Chinese made one. It was $5 more but I'm a principled man.

My hope is that American companies start separating themselves from China. Are there no other 3rd world countries that they can take advantage of?

I don't understand why this isn't done in Mexico. It would solve two problems. Stop the flood of illegal immigration from Mexico and be cheaper to ship products. Probably have better quality control as well since it's easier for company executives to fly to Mexico and QC.

Also, there's less lost in translation between Spanish language and the English language than fricking Mandarin.

Probably don't have to worry about bait and switch practices either. Mexicans are decently cool people and not sneaky little con artist pieces of shite like the ChiComs

They've also invested and in some cases taken ownership of American companies and bought real estate in America. We're so far in bed with China it would be extremely difficult to divorce them. The bottom line is we're consuming all the shite and they're getting all the money. They're the dealer and we're the addict.

Or the clothes the OP is wearing?

I think the OP should have to be naked all day. Even when he’s outside.

If he can find some clothes that aren’t made in China, he can wear them.

Plenty of clothing is made in places like India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Philippines, and Vietnam.

Yeah that sounds like a great idea if you don't want the economy to bounce back..

Not to mention they hold a huge chunk of our debt.

False.

The vast majority of US debt is held by domestic entities.

Unfortunately, our economy is so tied to Chinese manufacturing, that in order to rebound, we must continue to buy mostly Chinese goods.

Whichever countries that have been affected by the virus, if they have debt to China then it should all be eliminated and forgiven.

That’s unfortunate. You should let her use her arm nub

This, whoever starts to manufacture a good US alternative is gonna make bank.

Not when it will cost ten times the Chinese equivalent. There's a reason corporations manufacture stuff in China. You have to pay US workers more, pay for their healthcare, benefits, etc. All that is passed on to the consumer.

Can you seriously tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese people? I think of Chinese people as just being Japanese people who aren’t as wealthy.
