That is a Huge Compliment. Joe is a quick learner and looks to be able to read a defense very quickly. If joe could even come close/match Mannings career that would be Awesome. JOE

Burrow is special I think he has a successful rookie season. Unlike Peyton I think he doesn't throw as many int's as Peyton did his rookie year. JB's talent is his accuracy and his completion percentage. JB can run also something Peyton couldn't do just that ability puts more pressure on the defense.

“The interesting thing about him, when you look at his face, he reminds me of Peyton Manning,” another scout said. “You look into his eyes and see the determination. He’s a much better athlete than Manning. He can run, too. I estimated 4.7 (seconds in the 40). Peyton was more of a statue. The arm strength is about the same … and being resourceful and making excellent decisions. The composure, the confidence, the mental toughness. He’s special.”

It’s a pretty heady comparison, to be sure. But let’s not forget that others who are well respected in football circles have compared Burrow to none other than the NFL’s GOAT, Tom Brady.

bullshite, that’s an insult!
His college career performance was unparalleled by any Manning, and anyone else for that matter.

I don't see it. Burrow is much more mobile and is a threat to take off and can hurt you if he runs. Peyton Manning is literally a frickin statue back there in the pocket. Burrow also can extend plays better than Peyton can and is dead on balls accurate when he throws on the run and under pressure. I seriously dont know what the hell some of these "scouts" are looking at and thinking with some of their comparisons.

The most obvious way that burrow compares to Peyton is his knowledge of the game and his intelligence. Both of them can read a defense like no other and know where they're going most of the time before the ball is even snapped. They also both know when to audible and what to change the play into. That's where I agree that Peyton and Burrow are alike.

If the most talented scientists combined their collective abilities to genetically engineer a combination of Manning, Brady and Montana they would create Joe Burrow. Sprinkle in a little Chuck Norris and stir.

I’ve hesitated to go there but always felt this was the fairest comparison. Extremely similar strengths and weaknesses BUT Peyton wasn’t a 1 year wonder so that has to be mentioned.

I a,ways thought he performed like P Manning the way he read the field and the way he moved and found the open receiver. Joe runs with the ball better than Manning.

In a championship game I'll take Burreaux or Montana. Jeaux in Georgia Sphincterdome last season had 11 TD passes to 0 turnovers, and in Natty 5 to 0 (176.3 passer rating in Natty). Montana 4-0 SB's with 11 TD passes and 0 turnovers and highest career SB passer rating ever (127.8). In 14 seasons at SF Montana never fumbled ONCE (per NFL Stats), which is insane.

Peyton got screwed out of the Heisman. Some DB got it. That’s when the Heismann became worthless...until Joe, the man, won it
