What purpose in the cycle of life do these pests serve? I can’t enjoy myself on the porch at night without these blind bastards pelting me in the head.

Over the weekend I was trying to enjoy a nice glass of bourbon while sitting outside under a Coleman lantern to enjoy the cool evening.
Lasted about a minute before those little bastards ruined it all.

Those bastards and fricktard mosquito hawks keep showing up earlier and earlier.

We had a bright mercury light growing up and at night a lot of cool insects would gather under it.
In my backyard there were giant grasshoppers, huge moths, robber-flies, Catawba worms, enormous dragonflies, ant lions, lightning bugs, etc. Sadly, I don’t see these often anymore.
Now love bugs and flies that look like flying walnuts far outnumber them.

I feed them to my box turtles. They will eat all the ones I can catch.

You can make a gumbo out of anything.
If you want to hate a bug, hate on those little mother fricking ground wasps. frick those things with gas. At night....

Get a bug gun. Go ahead and get the laser sight.

Do what I did and get yourself 10-15 chickens.
Not because of the June bugs but because wal-mart is out of eggs.
