Where do we go from here with Corona Virus?

We are literally nearing the far end of the spectrum as far as containment, sans killing off those infected general lockdowns are about as top tier as we can get.
What happens next though, this started from one and two people having the virus and spreading it. There is zero chance we are going to stop that spread with this though, it will continue on until theirs a vaccine or we no longer care. As long as someone is a carrier and infecting others spread will continue, so how do we get to a normal?

We have to fabricate a vaccine to fight the virus. In the interim, if there is another treatment (hydroxychloroquine) that can help, get it to the states and hospitals.
Get the tests ramped up to test all in the affected areas, to get a full picture on the size of what we're dealing with. Hope that the warming climates and the precautionary measures we're now implementing will stunt the spread.
After all that, just wait and pray....

First, we call it something connected to the Chicoms. The WuFlu, Kung Flu, Wuhan Virus, or Chinese Virus.
Those frickers have taken advantage of our corrupt system, and the days of bowing to China need to be in the past.

I don’t think people will go much longer holed up in their bunkers unless they see first hand a real impact that matches the hysteria. At some point people have to psychologically feel the pain before true alteration of behavior.
That being the case, we’ll either see a spike at some point this summer as cabin fever takes over, or the virus will naturally subside due to mitigation efforts combined with higher temps. My hunch is the latter is the case. We’ll see a leveling off or decline in a few weeks like China and South Korea.
Beyond that, nursing homes and hospitals will continue to deal with it for the next year but numbers will stabilize and vaccine will come online.
As more people you know (yourself included) contract the virus and come to realize it is no worse than a typical seasonal illness (except for older folks), normalcy will return.

We stop overreacting and treat it like every other seasonal disease.

You hit the nail on the head. We no longer care because give me a freaking break, THERE ARE VIRUSES OUT HERE, lots of them! And some will make you sick. So get the vaccination, eat your fruits and vegetables, and keep on truckin'...That is the current normal with the flu.
