If our leader took this seriously back in January we could have been testing people for about 2 months now and maybe not have the extreme measures of shutting everything down.
The WH has zero control over how cdc operates its testing system.

The regime at the White House still has not ordered test kits. We've become a third world country as far as dealing with this virus

You know nothing. The WHO never offered us test kits.

It goes back further than that. He's spent his entire administration dismantling and defunding programs aimed at preventing these kind of global outbreaks and the ones that were supposed to keep us prepared for when they do happen.

Ugggghhhh...no he did not.

The only thing that happened was two individuals who were on the NSC were either asked to leave or left.

There has been zero decrease to the CDC’s budget or any directed dismantling of anti-pandemic groups.

This mythical “cut” to the CDC’s budget never happened and the only reduction in spending that occurred was the CDC’s Ebola emergency funding of $1 billion ran out.

Here is an actual chart of the US’s global health initiative funding which includes the CDC.

Unless you want to argue that the $1 billion of emergency funding should have been continued indefinitely, you otherwise have bought into nothing but propaganda.

FactCheck.org called it false, and Snopes called it mixed because, even though it was proposed, there was nothing ever cut and the CDC’s budget has actually increased.

I mean, the whole "we have 15 cases and they're going to disappear' was definitely a bad look, but he's who we have right now. We have to all pull together at this point.
