@AdamSchefter: Carolina is giving former Saints' QB Teddy Bridgewater a three-year, $63 million deal, per source.

The Carolina Panthers are showing very strong interest in quarterback Teddy Bridgewater per sources. I’m told the conversations have been going very well. #panthers

Well he’s familiar with Joe Brady

My first thought is he’s not the type of spread the ball and chunk it downfield QB like Joe Brady is probably looking for, but then I think to 2018 Joe Burrow and wouldn’t have immediately thought he was that guy either. Teddy’s mindset would not doubt change given a full offseason and the confidence of being the starter rather than just going out to not lose the game for the Saints until Drew came back. If Teddy does go to Carolina, he could surprise a lot of people

Teddy is an accurate, smart QB. I think it’s a good fit but I really would rather him to leave the division.

Patriots also have interest in Teddy.

Watch... if Teddy doesn't go to Patriots, i wouldn't be surprised if they turned to Taysom as an option.

Your infatuation with Hill is irrational. Other teams have no idea if he can even play the QB position and are not going to invest a 1st rounder and a large contract on a 30 year old to simply try him out.

The difference is, the Saints had to bring in the offense to fit Teddy's strengths. If he could not run the Saints offense, which Brady models his after, how would he actually run Brady's?

It is possible he could be very successful, but I would be very skeptical.

The Panthers and Teddy Bridgewater are negotiating a 3-year contract in the $60 million range, per source. The deal is not done as they work out details but it is expected to be complete when new league year opens Wednesday.

Damn. I was hoping he would wind up in NE. Great fit for him there in a winning culture, plus I don't want to play him every year. I like and respect him, and I don't want him to become my enemy

honestly, i'm happy for Teddy. Winning ROY and coming back from almost losing his leg in that horrific injury. He deserves to lead a team this year. He's proven he can play and win.

Sucks we have to play him twice a year now, but I'll always be a fan.

Happy for Teddy but this honestly doesn’t bother me. He had his moments for us but I don’t see him becoming anything more than a slightly above average QB.

Good for Teddy. I'll enjoy seeing him take the starting job from Cam, assuming Carolina can't find any team dumb enough to trade for Cam.

NFC South just turned into the most intriguing division in the NFL I think... If Brady goes to the Bucs
