If we aren’t 100% back to normal in 2 weeks maximum we will see Great Depression Style misery and panic.

Something like 75% of this country doesn’t have the savings to cover a week of bills much less a month of everything without a paycheck. And our government cannot afford to float the population’s entire life for a month.

Large amounts of small businesses will disappear and all of their employees left out in the cold. The businesses that do survive will be forced to sash employment and benefits to the bone to make ends meet.

We’re headed for a terribly dark time if we don’t turn this around soon and social media has idiots pretending this is no big deal or supporting this economic disaster.

It was a typo but this is serious.

Two weeks of a complete hault to our economy, education, and healthcare is a horrific reality.

Conversely , how shocked will Americans be if they can get off the treadmill of their life for a moment, adapt to a temporary reality, without spontaneously combusting?

I can understand the reasoning behind the two week vacation. But at some point we need to be transitioning back to normal operations while practicing distancing as much as possible. We can't shut down the country for an extended time over this.

It survived years and years of "The Great Depression" so I think a shut-down due to a virus is easily survivable.

The only problem I see is how soft people have become and piss and moan about every inconvenience like it is the end of times. Most folks need to grow a pair and get on with whatever life throws at them without crying about it.

Great Depression

The “D” word was mentioned by Stuart Varney on Fox this morning, if this continues for long enough. This economic impact is going to be huge either way.

Yeah we can't last long in this without a major reformation to our tax and government structures.

The biggest thing you can do to help is stop pissing your pants and spreading hysteria.

You're part of the problem and the result is other idiots like you panicking and creating a real crisis by hording shite.
