"We have been through a lot together. As I look through the room I see many familiar faces. It seemed like yesterday I was on the campaign trail and you were analyzing my speeches and policies."

"Through it all I have respected you. Sometimes I didn't like the stories you wrote or reported on. Sometimes you underestimated me. But it was always a relationship I felt has been professional. And I appreciate it. I do appreciate working with you. My friends say "What is it like to work with the press corp?" And I said these are just people trying to do the best they possibly can.

So here at the last press conference I'm here to say thank you for the job."

Final Press Conference

Trump does the exact opposite and destroys these scumbags with their loaded questions and gives them no respect. Bush sits here and thanks these people who tried to destroy him on a daily basis. Unbelievable how far we have come and how lucky we are to have Trump.

Bush let himself get railroaded by the media and Pelosi. He was way too nice to ever be President.

I will never forget when W stood there as POTUS and let Pelosi and Harry knock him down to shreads and he just stood there. IIRC: SNLIVE did a skit it was so horrific.

The Clinton's, Bush's, Obama's are all the uniparty.

He made damn sure to secure that cocktail circuit membership on his way out. So many sweet pats on the back to be had at those. All you can drink back pats.

Bush Jr could have secured our borders and had every undocumented person in the country identified. He could have ended employment for illegals and he could have given those here for years a long term path to citizenship. He had all the political capital after 9/11 to get it done but failed us all. Hes a tool.

I used to think he was a good President, but compared to Trump he let everyone walk all over him.
Hindsight is 20/20.

W was one of the worst presidents in history.

The damage he did to our country will be felt for generations.

I couldn't care less how 43 interacted with the media. I care more about how 43 managed his responsibilities as President.

Take foreign policy for example. It's no accident as to why his daddy was smart enough to leave Saddam Hussein alone in Iraq after he drove him out of Kuwait. That is one example as to why I consider 41 to be one of the best foreign policy Presidents ever. He set mission parameters, stuck to them, accomplished them and got the hell out of there.

People kept asking 41 as to why he didn't go after Saddam and "finish the job". His moron of a son Dubya answered that question 15 years later and it was a complete disaster of an answer.

41 should've been hammering that point home in 2001 to 2005. Not just in private but in public as well. But he was too nice to criticize his son's Presidency.

Too nice? He's part of Conservative, Inc. He's of the system. He played a role.

Bush, Sr ended up giving us Bill and Hillary Clinton as a going away present. Shrub ended up giving us an ineligible Barack Obama as a going away present. Both of them, Father and son, are new world order tools used to help destroy this nation. They are of the same ilk as the Clinton's and the Obama'a, evil to the core. His "nice" was an act.

Ross Perot is as much to blame for the Clintons as you say Poppy is.

Perot couldn't get past his feud with Ronald Reagan and Bush so he helped put democrat white trash in the White House.

True - even though GHW did give up in the final stages - just didn't have the stomach to get down in the mud with the DEMs.

BUT - Perot should forever be branded as the guerrilla traitor who ushered in the DEMOcline of our nation.

his complicity should become his epitaph - appended to every utterance of his name for centuries to come - engraved on his tombstone.

All you have to do is glance at his actions.

Got in to split the non-commie vote.

Then - when it looked like Clinton had it in the bag - he dropped out

Then - when GHW made a comeback in the polls - he jumped back in.

his 20% share of the vote condemned America to corruption in presidential administrations that continues in the deep state to this very day.

I loathe that man. almost as much as I hate LBJ.

This dystopia could have been avoided had it not been for his bruised ego.

We would be better off had he been elected. Once again, you give us one of the worst "conservative" takes possible.

G.H.W. Bush said it well when he said dealing with a secular madman is better than dealing with a religious one. He knew exactly what would happen once Saddam was removed from power. This also goes for Bashar Assad is Syria. Consider the alternative once he's gone.
