I didn’t say he had any relevance to this guy. I was pointing out how ridiculous and picked apart BMI scaling can be. Can it be effective? In some cases.

Is it the unquestioned source of healthiness? No. If you think it is then you aren’t worth my time either. It’s simply uneducated to think so.

I don't think anyone has said that.

It’s been implied by quite a handful of posters in the last 4-5 pages

Maybe you could.link it then. Not a single post on the first page says it's the only reason.

We have all said that it isn't a useless metric and that it is still used in the medical field.

There are also plenty of doctors and nutritionists that say it doesn’t tell the whole story and shouldnt be a widely used measure of healthiness. It’s a quick screening tool used by doctors that could mislabel someone with a bad BMI as unhealthy

You're an idiot. Fox News is breathlessly hyping this as well. You've got your template but are too dim to stray from it. Typical.

Sure they are... For the last couple of days now that reality has made their consistent prior gaslighting impossible.

Setting the O/U on your BMI at 30.55 and taking the over. But I'm sure you just have a thick frame and lift.

Without a doubt.

Without a doubt.

BMI is not a useless metric. Serious people use it.

Again, how many 'supplements' do you take every day?

Tell that to the dimwits on here that think only the "sick and old" have to worry.

What you're saying doesn't make sense. Isolated serious cases of this in younger people are not reasons for all of society to shut down in response, anymore than isolated serious cases of the flu in younger people are.

As long as it remains true that this virus is normally not deadly for any but the old and/or sickly, I won't love in fear of it.
