Noticed this yesterday while there and grabbed a 12ish lb. one for under $40. Is this the normal price? I’ll have to trim it a good bit, but I felt like I couldn’t pass one up at that price. I even asked one of the butchers if that was correct and he assured me it was. I think the last brisket I bought was choice from my local supermarket and it was almost $90 for 16ish lb.

Not sure on Costco but the HEB by me has them pretty consistently at that price, sometimes even a bit better, so wouldn't surprise me if Costco has them that price fairly regularly.

When you're done trimming it'll be about 6 lbs.

That sounds about right. I've bought them there before at that price. Maybe it's normally $4 a pound, but they put them on sale frequently, like around big cooking weekends. (I bought briskets at that price for LSU games in September)

Don't quote me but I believe their normal price is $3.29/lb, or atleast the 3 I've bought from them were always $3.29.lb. I remember being pumped about that price because before my Costco membership I was getting them at Rouses and their sale price was $3.99/lb.

On 6/4/2018 I paid $3.59 a pound for a prime brisket from Costco. Weighed 18.50 pounds. Have picture of the label.

I've bought USDA Prime brisket for under $3 a lb. at Costco before, but that price is pretty much normal.

If I remember right, the cheapest was in the $2.79 a lb. area. Far too good a deal to pass up, even if needing trimming to pop in the smoker or to brine for corned beef and pastrami.

$3.29 to $3.99 is the usual price at the one in Baton Rouge cant beat that price. Especially when Albertsons and Winn Dixie are selling choice for twice that!
