The best are Mansurs imo. It's kind of expensive though so probably not what you are looking for after a baseball game.
Phil's, Parrians and Acme are close to campus. Jones Creek Oyster Bar if you don't mind driving across town. Drago’s just opened a BR location. I haven't been yet so I can't comment on the food. It's not far from LSU though.

Bring on the downvotes, but Mike Anderson's is right down the road and they have very good oysters.

So is The Chimes.
Any place you go...Parrin's, Roux 61, Acme, Mansurs, Dragos, etc...are basically the same.

Parrains does my favorite chargrilleds, so they get my vote.

I don't know about the best, but I love the chargrilled at Mansur's. You can sit in the bar and eat those while you watch them grill.

With a damn fine wine list. They also have an impressive selection of older vintages that aren’t on the list—just ask.

Went to Rouj creole for 1st time, good flavor but chargrilled were small. I imagine Drago’s will be best chargrilled once they break in the restaurant

The Nawlins art goes full tilt in BR.
Just like Sushi, Pho, Poke, Burgers/Sliders, etc..BR exploding with Oyster Bars..who survives and thrives?
Southern Pearl, Drago's, and Rouj with nice crowds the last four days.

No need for downvotes here. Mike Anderson's is quality and an out of towner will appreciate them. Personally I like them very much.

Acme. Sit at the oyster bar and let Doc hit you up. Tip him when you’re done.
