This thread is going to set a record for goofy comments.
What could they have seen in their scouting to tell them 2019 LSU would not panic down 14 points?

Yeah the “really hot team” implies it was just a fluke run we had at the end rather than one program being better than the other.

I think we actually had one of our mediocre performances offensively. Mediocre only for that offense.

Add another two or three TD's if we where hot.

Arnsparger used to say: « Point at the Scoreboard! »

Hey Clemson!

LSU beat the heck out of you and your hip-hopping phony Dabo!!

still cant believe how Joe had 550+ total yards in just about 2.5 quarters of game

He used the other 1.5 quarters to impregnate 6483 women, at least half of which previously thought themselves to be sterile.

So they open up and basically say LSU got lucky. Cool. frick Clemson and their shitty online fanbase.

Did you read a different article?

I didn’t see many excuses in the article. Look what venables said:

Thought they had a great mindset, were very well-prepared, played with incredible passion and toughness, and again just got beat by a better team. We beat ourselves up enough as coaches we probably do, but when you experience it, there's nothing you have to reinforce."

How about the refs taking a Clemson TD off the board with a bad PI call?

It was the right call. Many times on this board It’s been discussed with pictures proving it.

We’re lucky that LB got that targeting call. They were wrecking us with him in the game and we really didn’t momentum until after that. Once we got momentum, nothing was going to stop us.

We killed the ball on their 6 yard line up 17...nice try, thanks for playing.

No it doesn't. You seeing it that way is indicative of your inferiority complex.

Clemson came out disguising coverage well and it slowed the LSU offense down early.

Bad field position got us off to a slow start.
If the Ref had called holding on the Clemson OL on the same play in which they called a face mask penalty on Chaison, I doubt Clemson would have scored more than three points in the second half. There were thirty yards of penalties against LSU on that drive.

We had our worst game of the season because we lucked out against OSU and ran into the best team we’ve faced in the history of our school.*

Well we were down 14 to 3 against UCF the year before

Oh, yeah, and in 1957 we had a comeback from double digits. Are you seriously implying that what a team did the year before is indicative of the character of the current team? That’s silly.

How would you characterize it in that context, Penrod?

I would characterize hot as on a streak of playing very well.

No it doesn’t but it does belittle what Oregeron has accomplished. They seem to think “the balls just started falling our way” rather than acknowledge that this was the result of a longer term, purposely constructed effort with many layers to it...which would force them to admit our program overall is better.

They actually said that the better team won. WTF? Can you read?

However when a team like LSU was able to run the ball almost the whole 4th with a lead is domination.

LSU definitely dominated the game, but nowhere near the way we dominated OU. You’re just way wrong on this. Halfway through the second quarter we were fighting for our lives and losing. OU was nothing like that. OU was a yawn fest.

When a lot of players from that team are still around yeah you can usually take something from a game situation last year
