Everything that I absolutely hate about the Disney experience. I’m not doing that shite on vacation, sorry. I can save thousands of dollars and get up early like that to go to work.

What is Disney supposed to do?

Yes they have raised ticket prices constantly but its so busy because that many people are still going.

Charge enough to where you can limit the amount of people in each park. Over-packing these parks is the true issue.

broke down yesterday with me in the line for interrogation standing on blue. Was out of commission for about an hour but I was not fricking leaving.

I was wondering about this. Did the cast members act like Empire A-holes the whole time while waiting for the ride to come back online?

You need to be in the gates of the park for 8AM to use the app to get a boarding pass. If Rise is your only want, you can get to the park at 7:55. If you want to ride other stuff, you need to get to the park earlier. That way you can get your boarding pass and be in the front of the lines for the other rides (mostly Smugglers Run). Your best bet is to probably hit slinky dog, rocking roller coaster, and tower of terror. The vast majority of everyone at the park that early in the morning are Star Wars fans. Their first reaction will be to go Smugglers Run.

Yeah none of that is true. The park is packed at 8 right now and big waits for all the big rides almost immediately after opening.

I am here right now, first time, Said I would never do it. My girls are older now, 8 and 11, and my wife booked the trip, so this was for them. People are packed in this place like sardines. There are a shite ton of strollers and lard carts, and seems like people are here to eat and be herded like cattle. I am enjoying watching the melt downs of some of these parents and teetons from around the world

Baws spend a lot of time hating on Disney. I get it, if you don’t like no biggie, but it’s pathetic you follow Disney threads.

More perplexed by the Disney devotion. You know not going to Disney will not mean your kid had a terrible childhood

We got here at 7am and drew lucky number 119, the que is currently 82 at 4:45pm bc the ride broke down earlier. Crossing our fingers. I’m going to blow a gasket if we don’t get on.

Update - we DID NOT get on. The que stopped at 102. Guest relations did nothing, and told us to try again tomorrow. So, my elderly dad and my entire Family have to get up again at 5:30 am to “hope” Of clicking a lower que number. Complete BS!! F U Disney rise of resistance. I hope you google and find this.

We got to the park at 7:30 this morning. Was in the park before 8 just waiting like so many others with phones in hand ready right before 8. Ended up getting boarding group 59 and went on at about 3:00. Pretty good ride, they put a lot into that. Strictly for thrill FOP tops it though. Right after 8:00 when everyone around me saw they got their spot they were yelling like their team just win the Super Bowl.

ETA- I saw some Star Wars fans who were pretty pissed they didn’t get it. Funny stuff.

By 7:45. You cannot get a boarding pass until 8.

This is the trick I used.

Get in. Get to a secluded area or leave park and go by parking team bench.

Turn OFF wifi.

Have the app on your home screen or quick launch.

When they make the park opening announcement it starts with a chime.
When that chime is played again, open your app.

On the top right of home screen, click on "galaxy's edge".

Then "join boarding group,"
You'll either go to your party load option and select who is with you. (THEY ALL HAVE TO HAVE ENTERED PARK AND SCANNED FINGER PRINT!!)

If it says "closed" close app and start again.

If you got to select party, you have entered a boarding group.

You should have everyone in your group with a smart phone do this.
First one to get it gets it for everyone.

Everyone else will get an "already joined group" message.

No need to get to park super early. I would leave bags in car if you're running late, skip bag check and go back for them after you get a pass.

It's easy, and honestly more fair than Fastpass+.

Got 12 on Sunday and 20 on Monday. Was on ride and out by 10am both days.

This system given to me by employee of park. The announcement timing is key. Second chime, open app

I too prefer flight of passage. Most people that can't get on RoR are following bad advice. I saw people flipping out in the bag line because they didn't get in in time. Don't bring a bag if you're running late.
Also avoid crowds, don't use wifi.

Why so early? Don't use wifi. It's slow. Stay away from large groups. It'll slow down data
