quote:

Former Rep. Katie Hill (D-Calif.) spoke with ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Thursday about biphobic rhetoric playing a part in her resignation.

Stephanopoulos asked Hill on ABC's "Good Morning America" if she regrets not fighting for her position, with Hill affirming that she "made the right call" stepping down from office.

"I did not want to be a liability to my colleagues," she said. "We knew from the people who had obtained the [explicit] photos that there were hundreds more images and text messages out there that I had no idea what they could be, or taken out of context."

In her interview on Thursday, Hill maintained that the reaction was "sensationalizing" and "biphobic."

"The bisexuality is a huge part of it — there's a fantasy element of it," Hill said. "There's biphobia that is rampant still, and certainly a misunderstanding of what bisexuality is."

If a guy was fricking a young female member of his staff and paying them bonuses on the taxpayer dime, they’d have been forced out too.

Get over yourself, bitch.

If that word basically means "batshit crazy bitch" then I agree with her.

Yeah...

Biphobia, that's it.

Well, whatever it is, good riddance. Y'all remember that this gals brother was killed recently? Murdered. It was after she resigned. If I were a "conspiracy theorist" I might start to wonder if her brother was killed because this chick owes some folks some money and now that she's no longer a congresswoman, she can't deliver. But that would be crazy because shite like that doesn't ever actually happen.

I’d say her potential violation of House ethics rule is more likely to be what did her in than being Bi.

Sure. It was the unknown and potential to be taken out of context that was the big reason to get you out of Congress.

Not the threeway relationship with a subordinate staffer. If it was a male staffer, I would have totally be fine with it (<--that's sarcasm - that's still not a great look).

On a more practical point, why is she still talking about this? It's way too soon to continue speaking up about this situation. You need to give this more time so that people forget the specifics when it is discussed.

She is a democrat so her martyrdom makes her orgasm more intensely than anything she ever did while nude.

Remember the good old days when people were forced out in disgrace and they just went away and you never heard from them again?
