What celebrity/sports star's death made you cry?

A lot of my friends cried over Kobe, a lot didn't, when is the last time you cried over a significant figures death?

I never cried, when Old Yeller does...at least not in front of my friends.

Never.
I'll probably cry when John Prine dies, though.

Cry? None.
Moistened eyes? Reagan.

Dale was my first and only.

I was thinking Reagan would be the most prominent answer

Payne Stewart and Dale were my first 2 as a kid that helped put life and sports in perspective.

My tribute to CHRIS BENOIT!!!!!
I know that wresling is fake but lets just give it a take, this guy was really small but he stood above most all if anyone had any grit you were the one who had it. we only know you from TV but you did as much as you could be from a father, husband,or just a man you did the all that you can you had blue eyes, and this is true but there is no man you would not go through you were the best I have ever seen BECAUSE YOU ARE THE RABID WOLVERINE!!!!!!!!
RIP, CHRIS!!!!!!!!!![]()

i feel like Kobe dying was a generational loss that is rare. Most people assumed he would outlive everyone and still be able to drop 50.
The other day I remember just sucking was when it was announced that Robin Williams committed suicide.

Didn’t make me cry, but it was a sad day when we lost Steve Irwin.

Some are saying Kobe's death destroyed a generation

I don’t know if I actually cried but Steve Irwin passing sort of crushed me. I grew up watching that show for years as a kid.

The difference between he and someone like Kobe's death is that Irwin would have wanted to die that way.

W/o giving names, could you go into detail on how old these friends are, the extent of their crying, and the reasons they gave for doing so.

Same reason I don’t cry over random people in the Obituaries. I don’t know those people.
