What has been your experience with ownership? Any issues, if so what were they? Year and model of vehicle in question?

The brand has a reputation for horrid reliability, yet I continue to see plenty of them on the road. Are all of these people filthy rich and dont give a frick if their 100k+ SUV has problems? Are they idiots with more money than sense? Is this reputation a lingering stigma from years past that no longer applies?

Had constant electrical issues. Neither BR or Metairie dealerships could fix. Finally traded it in

Yep. The people buying those just want a “rover” they aren’t worried about anything else.

They have money and warranty. Let the people with little money but big ego buy the "pre owned" problem when they're done is their thought. Drive it until warranty run out is how money people think.

If I have Bezos’ money, I wouldn’t buy another one.

I've got a 2014 Range Rover Sport Autobiography. It's got about 110K miles on it. The only problems I've had is the driver's side mirror sensor that detects cars in the blindspot went out. It was fixed under warranty. The drivers heated seat got a short in the wiring harness. Easy fix. I've put a smaller pulley on the supercharger and a tune. Upped the HP to about 650hp. It is a true sleeper.

Had an '02 Discovery II and I loved everything about it, until I owned it. Major electrical issues and constantly had to bring it in for service.

I have a 2017 RR Supercharged - love the way it drives but honestly, it’s overpriced - more tech than you need or use, but it looks good and it’s fast - under warranty still and I’ve had to bring it in probably 6-8 times in 2 years - all free fixes for minor non mechanical items (all tech items like heated seats and Bluetooth issues etc) - they give free loaner so it’s not a big deal. Save money and buy last years model with low mileage - prolly save $25k over brand new and still get bulk of warranty

Owned a 2007 LR3 and a 2016 Sport. Wife had a 2015 Evoque and now drives a 2020 Evoque. And for good measure, I now drive an F-Pace.

I don’t put a lot of miles on them — less than 50k — but never had any problems. They are complicated and have a lot of features that could go wrong, yet for me they haven’t. And you cannot beat them for style and comfort- let alone the occasional off road capabilities.

Conversely I had a 2012 Infiniti QX-56 that was a nightmare. Constant electrical and cooling problems. Plus it felt cheap. Lots of bling, but poor quality. Nowhere near as solid as a Rover. Convinced me to spring for the Range Rovers and I never looked back.

Yeah, they’re expensive but the difference is noticeable. And Mrs. Bok appreciates it.

Not a single response for 3 pages has any practical experience. Wait until 8:45 tomorrow to pay attention.

Cap, you see so many b/c of attractive lease deals. Reliability and resale aren't as big of a deal to leasing customers.

Right now, I'd avoid anything JLR as they are in dire straits as a company.

That's too bad as Jaguar has been buiding some good-looking, powerful cars.

We had one. It sucked. Would never buy again.

Dumped it and got an Acura MDX instead.

Wife has a 2016 LR4 w about 50K miles on it. Never had a problem at all. Routine service is covered in the purchase price for 3 years; warranty 5 years. We will drive it till the wheels fall off; it’s a great vehicle.

2015 RR Sport bought for my wife.
Never heard the end of her getting pissed about the electrical issues.
Sold it in 2019 and a little quieter in the house now.
Mechanically never had any major issues.
Electrically every few months I took it in for something.
