What about Tim Allen is looney besides him being a republican?

Carrey really nailed that sociopathic a-hole Dr. Robotnik in Sonic because he was just being himself.
Seriously couldn’t have been more perfect for that role

He's a nut job based on that comment?
Or he was ribbing a beautiful girl because he knows most men are hard-legging her like crazy and him not treating her like Helen of Troy would throw her off her guard and elicit a laugh? Don't overthink things.

I think you are confused

Margot's body language was definitely chilly & closed-off: minimal eye contact, crossed legs, arms crossed (not folded) and would lean away when Jim would engage her.
Jim was obviously flirting. His body language was open: legs & arms uncrossed, torso/legs faces Margot not Graham, chest open, responds to Graham's questions by giving his replies towards Margot (& guests on couch).
Jim eventually & unsurprisingly engages Margot directly and makes the indirect "compliment" acknowledging that she's fricking gorgeous. Twitter takes it as a demeaning sexist put-down.

I don’t think it’s sexist but it is most certainly a demeaning put down

She’s coming off a recent Oscar nomination, which is more than Carrey has had in his career (which is crazy btw) but it’s not like she’s Megan Fox

That's kind of the style of the Graham Norton show. All the guests typically engage in the conversation even when one is the 'focus' of the current interview by Graham.

Did it really flop though? 79% critic and audience scores on rotten tomatoes?
Birds of Prey took in $33.2 million over its opening weekend in the United States. That’s the worst opening weekend for a DC Extended Universe movie yet, lower than Shazam’s $53.5 million and much below Suicide Squad’s $133.6 million.
Likes on the internet don't pay the bills.

Isn’t the tone of that show usually for guests to kinda interact with each other and rib each other a bit?

And the justification continues.
Seriously, this alone doesn't constitute proof that Carrey is loonie, but it also doesn't make it any less cringey what occurred.

And that doesn't include marketing which probably doubles that cost.
If they truly spent that much on marketing, they need to fire that firm. That was one of the worst marketing campaigns I've seen for a big budget film.

I'm surprised by this thread, because I assumed most people thought Jim Carrey was a complete loser who was basically irrelevant at this point. I didn't know that people thought he was crazy and I'm shocked to see people talking about him as a brilliant, crazy artist.

Why would you assume that?
